You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. I've looked through you'r art and its all good. You should be happy with it. You'r certainly better then me.

maybe, but im still not at the level that i want to be, so im not happy with most my stuff, and im very critical of my own work
first time trying speedpainting, i think it worked

i think so too; how long did this take you?
you should do more stuff without lineart

though its a bit late, i hope it might help for your "antomy issues"
(this was for your unfinished guy on the other page :))
constructively, i can notice (you can too probably) the out of proportion-ness
thats why you asked for help after all; SO:
when u are drawing a human, the legs are always longer than the torso
ALWAYS!!!!
unless you got some dwarvism shit going on
but then we call them oompa loompas
the torso should be.... 2/3s the size of the legs (maybe 3/4, but whatever, i stick with 2/3)
then, when you draw the arms, use yourself as a reference
when you hang your arms down, they reach past your groin (so you can fapfapfap) to about midway between your pelvis and your knee
also, i know youve been looking at skeleton references, but look at muscle refs too!
its very important to know the ripples and flat sections of the body
:DDDDD

about 10 minutes, it was just a test since i finally figured out the settings so i could manage to do that
and kakashi, yeah i think iv fixed my anatomy issues now, but thanks for that
random drawing/painting i dont know, when im bored i draw random things, i think its a one eyed guy with a scarf and a huge nose :P
dude, I love your artwork! It may just be me, but I don't really see the anatomical errors until you point them out or whatever. I've had a quick scan through your stuff and I think it's cool. I love that doodle you did in college.
doodles own. they are the doors to MASTERPIECES.
You, my friend, are an AWESOME artist. Don't beat yourself up (: Even if you want to get better than you are, be positive. Yayyyyyyy. xD
[/too much pep]
your drawings are coooool
someone asked me to do a landscape with a waterfall, this is the result of quick speedpainting without any planning :P

pretty nice. now try again but plan it out more with a vanishing point and stuff and make it more detailed.

whats wrong with the rocks, i cant improve with that >:(

You might wanna shade each rock individually. At the moment, it looks like it's just one big piece as oppose to multiple small pieces.

the rocks are smooth and all look like one giant pillar with some cracks in it rather than a natural formation of rocks

Yeah Kind of blew it didn't I?
But who knows I might fall back to under 3K again before the day is out :D
Don't mean to echo, but yes, the rocks need improvement.
You should work a little bit with where the water falls into. It looks like the lake is going uphill, and the sand also looks like it goes up hill and turning into grass. For now all the hill looks like is a hill with odd color variations.

i gave it a curve, kinda like a fisheye lens, its all for effect, dont worry about it, and for first time doing painting like this i think i did quite well, now i see what people mean about the forum focusing on the negative :P

Aw, I told you I liked the colors and shading :'(. I thought you did a wonderful job detailing the cracks. I even Pointed out the one rock yo did well :(

This is coming along pretty sweet. Can't wait to see what you churn out at the end.
this is so wierd, i feel like a real artist for once, no more half assed rushed pictures i assure you from now on
