Is it weird that this makes me hungry?
more monochromy goodness that isnt actually monochrome but screw it it looks better like this :3
I'm not sure if it's intentional, but the shading gives it an embossed look, rather than 3d.

This pic reminds me about my goldfish that got flushed down the toilet when I was 7. The shading is really good, and the color orange really suits it. Awesome.
Wow Ash, the monochrome stuff looks awesome. And your pulling of the sketchy style very well, keep it up.

w.i.p sketch, i really need some ideas of what to do for the torso, or should i keep it plaint, any help guys, any crits appreciated

Maybe instead of doing a torso you should make the body connected to a thing that makes it hover.

This is looking really good. I suggest you make the body less round and more like shown in the picture and remove the things going from his shoulder to his head (in red) as they look weird and like they are restricting his head movement.

cloudy if you dont know what they are why say get rid of them, theyre pistons, for MOVING his head, so yeah theyre staying, and the body may stay round, more of a futuristic smooth look so goes with the shoulder pieces, i dunno i may change it but i like how it looks now, its still early stages, im liking the hover idea, i just dont know how id pull that off
by the way, its i-bot

Why it does look like i-bot. I didn't really know what i-bot looked like. They don't seem like a very practical place to put pistons for MOVING his head. Pistons there would make it hard for him to rotate his head. But anyway the sketch is looking really promising and I hope you can make the final product turn out good.
Yay! At last you finally decided to make something for Robot day. Good luck! I suggest the torso be some joint's that resemble the way a spine works, if you know what I mean.
got the full sketch done, gunna be a bitch to paint, iv never done something this detailed, should be fun, still gotta do the background though, any ideas on that guys?
ignore the faces, i was bored
There should be a robot army behind him to make it more epic.

Well, I'm gonna comment on the robot itself. His left leg stands out because it's the only limb that doesn't fit in with the others. It's a different metal style and there are no tubes running from it. I would advise changing it to make it completely fit in with the rest of the robot, or if the point is to make it different, like it's a repair leg or something, make sure it's a completely different colour, maybe rough it up a little or something.

i was trying to make it so his head and his left leg were the only prestine original pieces, all the rest has been replaced, the arms are original but now have tubes, im trying to come up with a backstory, but painting is a bitch right now
base colors. i think i got em right
nother wip, should be finished tomorrow, i bot is now partly related to frieza
