So far as I can tell, most people who played all of the HTD games lost around 6,000 medal points.

Say what? I would like a more accurate list that doesn't contain known hackers/cheaters. Especially since an official list does not exist.

Personally, I don't really visit this thread much because I'm not concerned with my rank, but rather I have a stake in my pride as a gamer. But now I've been visiting less because I have been a bit disappointed with the quality of the games and "games" for a while, ever since medal points could be rewarded for whatever reason without prior moderation. I don't mind support indie devs, but I have to draw the line with ridiculous things.

I honestly expected 70 newcomers this week, and I was kinda excited about it. An accurate/ACTIVE list is way better than having dead people in that list (aka zombies). I didn't post anything about it because I don't have any control over it (as Bobogoobo said). There is no reason not to add them if they are not hackers.
Also, the list was delayed, so I thought that a big update was coming... Well, more like a big negative update was coming, thanks to these HTD tutorials..

Anyway, when you mentioned a few names 3 weeks ago, I thought they were hackers/banned from the list but have different names or something. I remember H-O-S said the same thing. But then you said they were not hackers and you actually found 60 more or something, I thought that was nice :P

My most concern about these 60~70 people is having cheaters among them. If you think they are not hackers, then I totally support this :o

Thanks for the support. I actually found a few hackers/cheaters and didn't include them. You can never be sure though, after the redesign it became so much harder to figure out who the cheaters are, even months after they cheated.

So, some explanations on things:

The HTD games were removed for being shovelware. The only reason they had medals was to get more eyes on them, to drive more ad revenue and traffic for the people who submitted them, which is an abuse of the medal system as well as being shovelware. We literally tried everything we could think of to keep the games and their medals online, but the user who was submitting them just refused to cooperate with us. So the submissions had to go.

As for not everyone new being added to the list: I'm not H-o-S, so I obviously can't speak for him, but my first suspicion is that the idea is to add some of them each week, rather than all of them at once. Suddenly having 70 new people on the list would completely demolish any sense of continuity from last week to this week, especially with all those HTD medal points going away, so it's possible he's decided to ease the new people onto the list, rather than turning the whole thing on its head at once. Again, I'm not H-o-S and that's just a theory, but I think it's a good one. Ultimately it's up to his discretion; we just need to trust that he knows what he's doing.

That doesn't surprise me, though I actually haven't set foot in an HTD (at all) after seeing some of the helpful reviews that basically bashed it as "draw this, then draw that." And dozens of them? Shovelware detected.

A casual glance at the highscore tables reveals a lot of people who have medal points that would get them a spot on this list. I didn't verify whether they were already on the list to begin with. But you may or may not be doing this for a while.

Some credit? I've never even seen you post/contact me with said 'easy method'. I did it by myself 3 weeks ago and posted about it hoping people would help me collect some more folks. It amazes me how every single time I try to be helpful to the medal community it ends up backfiring for some random bs reason. I should know better by now. -_-

I'm not sure what's going on here. I suggested the "easy method" to H-o-S in this thread, not to you. You're the one who actually made a list of people, not me. And if you actually did mention surfing highscore tables for new folks, then I apologize, but I didn't bother reading posts in this thread around that time.

Quite honestly, I was shocked that H-o-S credited me for whatever reason. I'm all for an accurate list, but I have to exercise modesty here as I don't believe I deserve the mention over you.
