PC almost died & consequences

So, my pc almost died. Every time i rebooted i got a blue screen. Tried everything, from starting in safemode to a system restore to booting from a Windows XP cd (i ran Windows XP). Nothing worked.

Fortunately, my brother had Windows 7 CD laying around, so i installed it and.. it worked! Now i'm running Windows 7.
All my files and stuff were still there, so i was happy. And i thought this would be a good time to clean my PC by getting rid of a lot of programs/files that i never used.

..so i was deleting things, throwing everything away without a care in the world and a smile on my face.. until i discovered that i accidentally threw away all my project files for FL Studio (including a new song that i was working on for the NGADM)..
I looked in the recycle bin, but apparently the folder was too big for it so it wasn't there either.

:'(

Do you know of any good software for that? Or anyone else, perhaps?
