Nope, this would result.

Oh my god yes.

Break

I started making music again after taking a short break because everything I made started sounding the same, and it worked great.

Very Nice.

Finding your own sound is sooo hard to do.

what's wrong with that? the fans expect a theme out of their bands, something they can come to expect. there's obviously a threshold to this, you don't want to become predictable, but having a reliable soundscape is something I don't frown upon.

I agree with both of you. You want to create a somewhat unique trademark sound, but at the same time you don't want to create virtually the same melodies with minimal changes again and again.

I find that taking a break from composing and listening to other songs, looking at and listening to sheet music of songs in Guitar Pro, can help with inspiration. Take something good, try to make something similar and your own style will just flow as you write it. That's how it works with me, anyway.

After I finish a song, it usually takes a few weeks before I can even look at FL Studio again, let alone get back into it. I expend a lot of energy trying to get it just right, because although the inspiration may be there, the motivation and skill definitely isn't.

It's okay, you can say Flint. It's actually worse there than Detroit, now.

Really? That pretty much contradicts with Fedde Le Grand's song *PUT YA HANDS UP FO DETROIT, I LUV DIZ CITEH!*

But I don't think Garageband has much in the orchestra department when it comes to instruments does it?

Not sure if posting in the wrong thread, or really sharing opinion with us...

Btw, sorry for me posting so much, I'm bored as fuck.

I thought GarageBand came bundled with your mac :/ atleast it did on mine... And Logic pro is the way to go on Mac. I find it so much easier to use then any of the other DAWs ive tried.

Baltimore actually has like 500 more violent crimes per capita per year than Flint or Detroit, though all three are in the top 50 of all U.S. cities last time I checked.

I live in the crime capital of Canada... It's to the point where talking about the latest murder is just as redundant as saying, "Nice weather we're having..."

"So, another person was murdered yesterday."

"You don't say..."

Do you have a keyboard with midi capabilities? Can you efficiently write/arrange music (notation, not piano roll in FL)? If you said yes to either, and you're willing to shell out some dough, get Sibelius or Finale.
