I dont know really. I guess its because I have a certain opinion I would like to share. I also love getting responses, a lot of them are extreamly nice and supportitive. I like to review more of the movies that are green and bluse in the portal (Or if I find a movie that I like), because I dont like to give bad reviews a lot. On occasion I will right a bad review, but its usually polite.

One of the reasons why I review so many movies is because I noticed that a lot of reviewers were biased and when they gave their review, it was terrible and could turn of a future watcher. I like to feel that if I give it a 6 or above, than everyone would expect that it is worth watching. Now, this goes the other way as well, if I vote 5 or below, I want people to know that sure they could check it out, but there are other animations which are better.

Only reviewing while submissions are under judgement. Hopefully just after they are submitted.
Check another movie of the authour. If he responds, then I will want to review. If he never responds, I wont. The cool part about reviewing is getting the respond!

But I think only people with over 100 reviews should be on that list. It's more fair that way.
I know, but I don't deserve it. I haven't rewied enough, although the stats are accurate enough. But 50 should be a minimal.

So you are saying that you only review to get a response? True, that is what everyone wants, but still, I think you should review every movie regardless of whether they respond or not.

Heh ok well let me see my reason for reviewing, hmmmm well when i started reviewing it was cool oh another part of newgrounds i really didnt do so i started reviewing and i just kinda liked it and now i love reviewing movies, but i dont just review what is the best movies i review alot of new artists so that i can help them want to make more, while other reviewers go for the most current i go for all kinds so that i can also see different types of styles and such, and i dont review with high scores cause i give scores for what i think it is quality, detail, style, etc, kinda like just reviewing besides i get to see all kinds of different and unique flash works...

I review the submissions I want to review. Like I never wanna review a game/movie by a flash animator that dosn't give a shit about NG. I review the people that are not awafully great (but still great) and give a damn --> often responds. See where I'm going with this?
My reason for reviewing:
I want that authors know what I think about their movie. I like responses but it's not a must. I have almost 80 responses and only 2 or 3 of them are insulting. Authors are mostly nice and apprechiate some help

My reason for reviewing...? I'd say...
I try to be constructive and supportive. If I see a way a flash could be made better because of some feature the author may not be aware of, I'll try to point it out while pointing out their own strengths at the same time.
I think this lends to a high response ratio...

Good question. I don't think there's one answer - mainly I review just for the hell of it. Because of my current slow connection, I can't b/p like I want to, and in other slow periods, I'll either review what I haven't reviewed already in the top 50 (I think the first one I'm missing is One Man's Fridge, and when I go back to look at it again and review it it had better get very interesting very quickly, as the first two minutes were boring as hell) or other good submissions, or attack the templist or random entry and review. I like to think if someone's randomly trawling the portal and they see a review by a recognised reviewer (in my random trawling of obscure entries, over half the time the most recent is by waynecolt) they can get a honest picture of the submission outside of the score and decide if they want to view it. It's also somewhat for the stats, once I get to 1,000, it's not something they can take away from you, it's an achievement.

I thought I had it, but now I can't find where I put it. I remember having all of the frames and work in one folder but it doesn't seem to be there anymore, and even though I thought I uploaded it to my site as well, its not there.

I do understand what you mean, why would you review a movie if the author will not read it. Another reason may be to help out future watchers of the movie.
