Set in and out...
The sun has just risen, from the tier of the castle can you see images of horror being played throughout this once amazing landscape, horror like that only seen in the stories of old. The dead are strewn across this razed land, brutal murders sought by those on either side. A once beautiful forest, now ash, is seen in the distance, the life of that wood being used to lay siege upon this now war strewn kingdom. Tears come to your eyes, but short is this morning for the call to arms comes up. Hands on the stone in front of you, you let a tear, just one tear fall from your eyes. Gone is the memory when you could stand in that very spot and look out across the landscape. Odulfare, once bright with life, is now dead in the winds off time. Turning, you look one last time at the landscape you still call home, your fists clench and in your hatred will you banish those foolish enough to step upon your doorstep. "To war, to battle," you whisper anguish and anger make your voice quiver..."To war..."
I dunno...that is what this song brings out for me...

Tense
Really nice piece. The score must have taken a while to write out. I also like the fact that this piece really brings out the feeling of being really tense in a serious situation, just like on Dark Cut 2, where you have to hurry to save the patient. Very nicely composed.

the score for this was produced in roughly 10-12 hours, depending on mastering, and the number of times I listened through it for perfection sake. Despite all this the theme in my opinion is far from over. There are many equalizing factors to throw in, expansion, work that could be done on it etc. Though at this stage, it is good enough to sit around and take up internet space :D!
The song itself was not meant to depict urgency, more hostility, but Dark Cut 2 was brilliant in the way that it brought that urgency into it.

it just sticks in my head when i hear this, and for soem reason thats good. =\

I hope it doesn't start to irritate you though, I know sometimes when a song gets stuck in my head I want to get it out, and because I focus on it, it just gets louder and more consistent, and i'm stuck listening to it for hours. It drives me mad sometimes...

Loved this soundtrack cause of Refrigerator Rampage 2. Good use of the song and I loved the orchestra in it. Great sounding.
