Reviews for "_-={Apocalypse}=-_"

Still amazing

I thought I might as well drop by again to see what you're up to. And really man... you do not dissapoint! If I ever actually get around to finishing a game you can be assured that at least one of your peices will be in it. Now I must browse around your "new" songs looking for weapons to fill my arsenal.

Oh, and I hear a female voice in the back at some points. Still ladyArsenic?

Wonderful

I enjoy the more stirring pieces, but this is good. I reviewed [Remember Us] and, I hope you take into account these words. This piece is wonderful, masterfully done. It seems to me to be the counter thesis of [Remember Us] and love it. Keep up the great work. As for a story, here we are.

A man stands atop a hill, a army behind him, as he gazes down at a small fortress, surrounded by a field of flowers. His army slowly moves to surround the small fort, encircling it with a wall of steel. The soldiers extend as far as the eye can see, the small fort has no chance.

The leader of the defenders, from the fort, stands on the wall, watching as the huge army circles his small fortress and defenders. He twists a small rose in his hand, rolling it in between his armored fingers. A hazy look is in his eyes as he turns his look to the rose. He releases his grip and lets the rose flutter down the wall, landing gently on the ground. He draws his sword, and holds it high, in grim defiance of his impending fate. His men cheer holding weapons high, they stare in the same defiance as their leader at the men who will be their doom. They are not afraid, they know their fate is sealed. But, they will not leave this world quietly.

This is what this song brings to me. Keep up the good work.

damn man, this owns

MaestroRage responds:

I have been writing angry pieces for quite some while now protoss. I think it's time I took a little breather ;). After some peaceful days, i'll be sure to return and bring back some chaotic energies with me!

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it, as well as Zen's story. I also found it incredibly entertaining!

Incredible...

Your true rage has come forth it seems Maestro. I don't think I've heard any of your other pieces have this much power, fury, and mastery flowing through it all at once! I'm astonished! Apocalypse is definately a proper title for it. The story for this is rather difficult to type. Here goes.
A powerful man walks through a seemingly quiet and peaceful town. However, this town is far from what one would call peaceful and quiet. At least...not yet anyway... The man continues to walk until about fifty soldiers with swords drawn surround him in the town square.
"It's him! Quick! Lets kill him! Don't give him the chance to-" But before the soldier can finish his sentence the man's hand is through his chestplate with blood all other his palm. He pulls his hand out taking the soldier's heart in the process. Blood spurts all over the man's hand while he smiles wickedly as the soldier falls to the ground with a large gaping hole in his chest. "Seems like I stole his heart...heh. This is just a warning. Do not engage me or you will all suffer!!!" The soldiers all seem unwilling to move until one of them suddenly raises his sword and charges the man. "YOU FOOL!!!!" the man shouts and suddenly, as if all of hell and heaven are suddenly torn loose and unleashed, pillars of fire and light erupt from the sky and ground and tear through not only the soldiers, but also the town and the surrounding countryside. Hundreds died in that fateful moment. And as the town burned in corrupted hellfire the man stood in the center of what used to be the town square. He begins to walk until he encounters the dead body of a child-a little girl. Blood pours from her mouth and no life is present within her eyes. At first the man shows no heed or remorse, but just as he is about to depart from the gruesome scene he suddenly turns back and a single tear trails down from his eyes.
"I'm sorry..." he mutters before leaving what many would call nothing. Keep up the good work...

MaestroRage responds:

this story, was really something powerful Zen. I had goosebumps for more the most the latter half. To give this monster, this demon able to command the powers of heaven and hell alike, to tear apart everything within mere waves of his hand, the ability to feel remorse.

One begins to question what exactly he is doing here, and why exactly people want him dead. He carries a gift and a curse so vast, it boggles the mind, yet he is forced to again and again wield it only for desctruction. And because the desctruction fuels anger towards him, violence begets violence...

truly a sad fate for somebody who could do so much, for so many.

Brilliant written Zen, I enjoyed this story a great deal, thank you for that and the review, i'm glad you liked the piece!

Mastering failed...

It still rumbles and crackles :/ though not as severely as before. It's pretty good btw, fits the title much better than the demo, truly gets apocalyptic at 0:52. I'm glad you kept the rude brass too :D This is definitely going on my rpg soundtrack playlist, the one which I listen to while playing an mmorpg... and it's full of your songs XD
P.s.:You know what I miss? Organs! Those would have gone well with the melody at 0:52.

MaestroRage responds:

Yeah... the crackling. Damn that crackling! I had in fact talked to DavidOrr and Arbiter about this piece, and they both said it needed mastering work, David even told me how to fix it. Though I did everything he told me, I must not have done it right, or to the right degree. I should have waited a couple days to forget about how the song sounded so that I could listen to it clearer.

Mistakes and more mistakes :(.

I plan on making an extended version of the song. I don't like that ending at all, not angry enough. I'll keep the rude brass, but that part is going to have to get a face lift.

As for organs... it's not a bad idea actually. I just hope I didn't screw my frequency spectrum enough to have to really blast it to hear it!

thank you for the review Skragga! I'm glad you liked it!
