Reviews for "EOFS - Super Trouble"

This entire episode is great

You should like. Put me in the background of the next episode and tell me

Also the biker video sounds fucked

Anyway again nice job

TheMiamiDeSantos responds:

yo my boy, thanks for your review! I think i can put you on an background of the next ep! It is a short ep it will be released soon

Had to pause so many times during those final meme scenes, they pass by too fast! XD I always thought Bom Dia was Good Day btw, one of few phrases I assumed I understood - seemed similar to the Spanish counterpart, but apparently no... the added commentary definitely helps out!

Compared to the previous episode this was... pretty different! XD Unexpected levels of action, and cars, and in the end a moral talk that seems strange after a shoot-out, but why not. Intriguing characters, wonder how many of these are re-occurring ones and how many might end up dying in the most unexpected ways...

The football intro was a fun one too. :) Maybe that glass was bulletproof hmm, would've been useful... looking forward to seeing where this goes next! Nice work. You pack in a lot of backgrounds/drawings in a short span of time too. Good detail.

TheMiamiDeSantos responds:

yo my friend, thanks for your review! I always wanted to do a gunfight scene, this episode was made based on some of the feedback i have been receiving, shorter and more animated scenes was the goal on this one. I surely plan to make more like that on the future, as well some episodes on the style of the others already released (some very short, some very long, etc)

Very nice

I have to say I found this one unique, I was going to suggest subtitles but seems like you had jumped in on that later on, maybe fancy up the box behind the subtitles though, You have some nice characters and voice work is notbad, I do love the randomness of this whole piece, You hit all the great moments with this film And This has a great idea behind it maybe even a cutting edge feel about it, This is a decent concept and you should keep up with that and you have cleverly used some nice effects and elements to make this a good submission.

A fantastic flick you have created here, so from the get-go I really thought this was good, and I was unexpectedly taken back with how good it really was, so that for sure shows your effort and time put into this, Well so its not all the time you see movie works like this especially in a movie form so I was actually suprised with how you presented this nice energy here, I hope you continue on and keep adding comical elements like the guns and kicking of the ball that was all a big plus on things, anyways great film indeed.

TheMiamiDeSantos responds:

Thanks for your review! I'm really glad you liked it, i'll surely keep it up!

Cilly ann = TRANS
CONFIRMED

By far the most accesible episode, streamlined, better animation, a sense of recurrent developing characters, but still completely mind-rapingly retarded EDIT: (the mind-rapingly retarded was a pro btw, it's interesting). Goddamn that facebook local feedback looped memes. Understood nothing. Seeing the girls getting shot is very cathartic, the blood animation is spot on.

Some uncalled burdening advice (not a creator, take advice with grain of salt):

- Switching the english name to Enchanted Do Santos. It's clear at this point that one of the main points of the series is that is happening in the middle of fuck nowhere, Brazil. Having the "do" preposition makes it more exotic for english audiences (like "Mucha Lucha" if you saw that not sure it's name in portuguese) EDIT: Just realized it's Encantadas DE Santos in portuguese. Tough it was do all the time, don't know shit about portuguese.

- Title card/credits/thumbnails: You might want to add some title card animation, to know which episode is it. The thumbnails are also another place where you can really sprinkle the whole thing. At least having a theme that binds the episodes together. You can also separate the playlists for the english subbed episodes so the channel looks more professional.

----------------------------------

Professional, streamlining, engaging, these words are vomit inducing but reality is you would like to be able to sustain yourself from your work. If you have time I recommend you checking this guy's YT channel: ProduccionesTrukini. It's an argentinian animator that's living the dream of living from his local spanish flash series. Some things I got from listening to him in podcasts watching the series.

- He got better at doing the quick South Park animation that makes him able to churn episodes very fast.

- Separates the episodes by seasons so the content resembles watching your typical streaming site series.

- Started adding After Effects compositing little by little so he's able to modernize the flash animation.

- Plays the animation in public at bar events using a projector sometimes. So it got entrenched in the local scene.

With that, he was able to gather a substantial local following so now he does promotions during the episodes for cannabis products, and sells series related merch. He has an episode based (not monthly) Patreon.

Still his series is a very relatable story about guys entering the 30 something middle age crisis with lots of reference to cannabis "counter-culture". Yours is an extremely polarizing violent doom metal brazilian slum themed weird series so its a very tough niche of a niche of a niche. It might be extremely hard for it to become profitable but you're getting some incredible progress out of it and becoming a strong animator.

EDIT: Also you can use audacity pitch modulation to create some high/low pitched voices so you don't spread too thin with your VA. You can see the Trukini guy doing it a lot for his characters.

-----------------------------------

I find myself saying phrases like "Eu ganhe 50 mangos o jogo do bissho". Watched Tropa De Elite again the other day and laughed when Wagner Moura beats some rookie while saying "We know you've been involved in Jogo do bicho!!" hahahah that fucking name jogo do bicho.

TheMiamiDeSantos responds:

wow, great review indeed! I loved it! Thank you a lot! I aimed for it being the most accesible episode, like a business card to introduce people to the series. The random shitposting memes is cuz i'm getting some popularity on some niche underground facebook shitposting people
Professional, streaming, engaging i like those words, I work doing (paid) illustrations and some animations as well. I have already a playlist on YT with the eng sub episodes: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLC583GEmyb64N0sUb0HFA98BIqaiTvdqD
I will surely check out this guy channel, it's always good to take a look at things, i may learn something.
As the days passes by i get more convinced that the advertising is everything, that promotion is actually is more important than the product itself. I do some stuff to get known here in Santos sometimes, but it's hard, this is a city full of boomers who only care about idolatrizing politicians and normies who only likes normie stuff.
"Yours is an extremely polarizing violent doom metal brazilian slum themed weird series so its a very tough niche of a niche of a niche" yeah haha, thanks for that, my plan is to create somekind of "brazilian Touhou", with about the popularity Touhou had 10 or even 15 years ago (before it got kinda mainstream), touhou was pretty underground, i would like to profit my series enough to get a humble living out of it as well as a good fanbase (i have a small fanbase that i love so much already, that's a blessing indeed)
and yes i think i should some effects on my VA, i did rely a little too much on the rock/metal factor that "you eventually get used to the vocals"
lol "Jogo do Bicho" haha the "Animal Game" a classic here in brazil, Tropa de Elite for me is the best brazilian movie, love it, movies like that along with The Godfather, Scarface, GTA, Peaky Blinders are big inspirations for me, i plan to make my series going on a more serious route like those things rather than a mind-rapingly retarded stuff haha
Once again thanks for your review, i really loved it! Hails from Brazil
