Reviews for "Schmuck'em Chuck'em Robots"

That's some next level boxing :D

Niiice!

Visually the clay designs are great and pretty well implemented with some nice bluring effects.

It began pretty easy with just button mashing but by level 5 it became a bit more complex fighting the green and purple robots. The boss fight was a fun change of pace with the added hazards and it was cool to play around with the enemies being able to hit the spikes too, at some point it got so convoluted that I lost like 90% of my hp by getting bounced all over the place in one insane combo, hahah!

Also a small nitpick but the resolution was a bit high on the Y axis for my screen, so I wasn't able to see the whole thing when playing.

Good stuff! I'll have to look into the chicken game! :)

Thanks Antonio! I was just checking if you put anything out recently, I miss your animations!

pretty fun!

This is great, you guys really got something here should you want to develop this idea more.
There is one issue I had with this game that really sapped the enjoyment for me at times. The problem of chain bouncing when you get whacked between several enemies. Especially on the final level, this really got out of control.

It completely steals the control from the player and takes away the enjoyment as all you can do is watch yourself die. I understand that you don’t want to get trapped between enemies, and there should be consequences for that, but it just happens too often. You might consider either reducing the bounce, or having a limited amount of times you can escape from it.

But aside from that little issue, this overall is a great little game! The art style is unique and the mechanics are simple and fun. I’ll be on the lookout for any other games you make.

P.S. Thanks for using my music at the end there, I’m glad you found it useful!

Guy-Unger responds:

hey thank you for making your song public to use, it's a great song and I think it worked very well in the game :)
I agree with your feedback, the reason it's like this is that most of the code came from a multiplayer game I made where you fight against each other, the chaining feels a lot more fair and fun if you get to do it to a friend haha, I should've worked on it more for this game. thank you!

Controls are weird (i am on AZERTY tho)
But looks fun AF ! And as every one says the designs are awesome the music choice is also cool :) !

Guy-Unger responds:

You can also use x and w, implemented it specifically for AZERTY users
