Reviews for "Air Flip Drive (WIP)"

Great game, I personally only dislike the music.

Not too shabby! It's certainly a little buggy and raw (it is a WIP), but I think it's got a good core as it is fun and cool to traverse the track; certainly a lot farther along than I would expect from a WIP compared to others. With a little more polish and juice, especially in the sound-effect department to help with feedback, I think you could make a really great racer here.

My two cents: I found the left/right movement to be less fun than the rest. It's fine when just nudging your path a little, but when trying to turn I felt like you quickly end up going horizontally and it seemed like you could only go at specific angles. Most of the game felt nicely responsive, but this didn't, for me.

I really like the atmosphere and colors used here, and I understand this is a WIP, a decent one at that, but the music doesn't really fit the tone, and the movement is a bit too stiff for my tastes. I can definitely see the F-Zero inspiration in this too, and I'm always glad to see people bringing some of the F-Zero magic into their projects! Interested in seeing future versions of this.

My biggest problem with this is probably the fact that for a web game, it's too heavy. Your game needs to target the IGPU crowd if you're releasing a web game IMO. And you could probably do that here while keeping most of the visuals in tact. There should be a resolution slider, or at least an option to turn off post process and antialiasing under graphics. A good first impression isn't having it run at like 5fps in the main menu.

The music's good. The visuals just look like rainbow road, however. It's not crazy original, but it looks fine.

I don't think there's a point for this game to lock your cursor considering it doesn't use it at all, though. I think it's okay.
