No saving progress? alright.

barely any background story for the characters. Game is very tasking to the cpu despite being pixelated and having this kind of graphics and gameplay.

However, a bit fun until the map gets so huge that the game becomes slow.

No save before a sudden boss fight? Hell has a special place for devs like you.

I guess I’m another mean old Roguelike dev, lmao. It’s inspired by Mystery Dungeon, a game that would completely chuck you out to do the dungeon all over again, so I thought I was being pretty lenient with a mid way checkpoint and some quality of life stuff like starting the dungeon instantly on death.

A floor has been placed between the checkpoint and the boss floor to allow the player to potentially get different items for use for the boss battle, because unlike a traditional RPG, you can’t just go back and grind for more items. If someone is perhaps under equipped when encountering the boss, and saved just before the boss, that could render the boss impossible as you can’t go back to get more items.

I’m still taking feedback however and could change this if players like you find it absolutely necessary. It could be possible there's a way around this problem while providing the player quick access to the boss fight, but that's why this demo exists and I need people like you. I would be happy to pm you for follow up questions.
