Reviews for "Bitcoin Mining Simulator"

Not a bad incremental, but could do with some polish. The UI is a bit of a mess for a start. I'd love to see options to turn off the floating text every time one of the machines do something. Further upgrades like the ability to overclock more than one machine at a time for example.

I also know that you Game Over if the room overheats too much, but I've no idea at which point. I have no reference point when it comes to Farenheit, but I suppose it might be too much to ask that you'd add a Celsius conversion.

I just couldn't enjoy the game knowing how the bitcoin mining actually worked.

The fact is that no matter how much computing power one can provide for mining, the global sum of every miner will not exceed 1800 bitcoins per DAY on average. Pretty soon this number will half, then half again, until miners will only earn bitcoin on the transaction fees (may need to include the bandwidth costs to your next simulation).

Even if the mining capacity will magically double, difficulty will simply adjust to keep the total bitcoin harvest at a limited number.

Much better simulation may have been to limit the bitcoin value per day to actual standards and instead adjust the income as a percentage of your hash rate as it relates to global sum (you can even use data from other players to set an expected global rate to play against), this way it will actually be possible to loose the game by falling behind the lead players and being unable to generate enough income to cover electricity costs...

It's pretty boring, but I think the art, layout, and design are very nice!

You should actually tell the player what overheating does. I figured it might blow up all my machines, but it just restarts the whole game. Poorly explained linear typical idle game with fine graphics and a sort of cool theme. Keep working on it, add more things to do that are unique, games aren't very fun when every single player has to take basically the same path through the game. Yes you can place rigs in different spots, and choose which to overclock, but it's still just a linear push from the last rig model to the next rig model, no room for creativity

BTCGamer responds:

Ok thanks. This is my first game and I do plan on adding more stuff

Pretty fun untill i got to around 30 ish super computers then it said OVERHEAT and i was like wtf and there was only start from scratch it would be better if you could save and dident have to restart just because of one overheat

BTCGamer responds:

hmm OK. thanks for the feedback!
