Reviews for "Bitcoin Mining Simulator"

kinda boring i had to wait 5+ min to get anything done

BTCGamer responds:

Thanks for the feedback

It works with no glitches or bugs (that i've found). That's great for a first game, and better than many games on here manage!

It could do with some polishing on the user interface and some of the physics is questionable (see below). I do like idle games that don't wear out my mouse button though. And for that I salute you!

It would be nice to be able to overclock more than one machine, but this should have a temperature and power penalty.

Also, I think in my quest to build the biggest mining centre possible, I think I mined more Bitcoins than exist!

PHYSICS
Lowest possible temperature is -273.15°C (-459.67°F). You cannot go lower than this. Even deep space is warmer! A better way of managing the temperature would be to give each device a power output, and have a power capacity from the cooling device. Balance this and room temperature remains constant, either side of this it will increase or decrease to upper and lower limits which relate to the outside temperature and how well insulated the room is. For a typical datacentre you should be looking at a room temp of 20°C for optimum. You can't really use an air condtioning system to achieve a temperature less than -30°C as the losses become too great, but you could add more cooling units to offset more computers. Every cooling system requires energy to operate, so that should possibly be added into the cost-to-operate part of the game.

Cold fusion by the way isn't that cold, and isn't a method of cooling. It's a method of power generation. Perhaps you could adapt this by having equipment to generate power which takes up space, but reduces your expenditure on power? Then the player has to balance power for mining, power for cooling, cost of purchasing power and space taken to generate power to achieve the optimum mining rate.

BTCGamer responds:

Thanks for the suggestions! its still a work in progress. Feedback like this is exactly what I was hoping for. Im working on some changes so that hopefully the game will obey all the laws of physics.

This game is AMAZING!
I hope it can add more things such as Bitcoin-real money Exchange,or fee on living,or inflluence of your fame.Even policy is should be considered.

Nice game. But I guess you should make save files and stuff like that.

Good game, I hope you add in a save function though, don't really want to have to build up money over and over again from the beginning, when a simple save function can have me pick up from where I left off.
