I like this type of game. You know, the type where you have to gather resources, and then get people to do the work for you, you can just watch your people work and laugh. In this case it's goblins.

You need a retreat button on the battle screen. If you send 1 warlord against a huge city without any sorcerers in then you end up stuck watching him chip away the wall 1 brick at a time for several hours or reloading and losing progress. During the battle sequence it seems like your 'dungeon' doesn't even keep functioning, e.g. no gold gain, no units gain etc.

Basically, it feels like an unoriginal concept with poor implementation. Maybe the poor implementation part will be fixed though? I hope so because it isn't a terrible way to kill some time. The battle mechanics at least to give you something to figure out/work with.

Pros:
Fun game and I think it's a nice twist on games like Realm Grinder that has its own unique and entertaining aspect.

Cons:
Don't really care for the commitment to an action and not being allowed to back out if you change your mind or if you weren't aware of how few troops you had, or if you just wanted to check a villages defense/units.

The 'hours' that take place during combat also seems completely pointless. At least, we should be able to do something else and just let it take place in the background. Like normal RTS-styled games.

But at least these 'flaws' are easily fixable without ruining the games mechanics. For the most part, these are more like bugs than flaws.

Yeah, I think that I should be able to take out the second village when I outnumber them two to one.

It's a really awesome game for the most part....but the fact that the "idle" part stops when you close out of the game is really a big flaw. At least allowing the gold mining, and research to continue at half speed after the game is shut off would make it better.
