Reviews for "10 Seconds"

it has the challenge, but it changes occasionally, not every 10 sec like the title says you should fix that.
but even whit those changes the game itself is pretty hard. has the flappy bird formula and is a good time killer.

Not the greatest game ever, but its a beta, so I am going to make adjustments for that.

The Collision detection needs work.

Sometimes the mode changes were hard to determine. It would help if we had a better idea of what was changing. Perhaps not spelled out explicitly but a title card at the to let us know what mode we had just entered, even if we had to guess what it meant.

I also noticed that when I DID notice the changes, they may not have lasted a full 10 seconds,, sometimes only 2 or 3 seconds.

There is a seed of a good game here, but it will take much work and polish to get it to see its potential.

the music is nice though.

ParkerBurns responds:

In the mobile version, almost all these things are fixed. I am also currently working on a title card for each collectable. Thanks for your feedback!

I like dodging games. However, in this one lies fake difficulty of hard controls.
Description is lying. 4 out of 5 times, there is no change at all at end of 10 second period
Only 3 change type exist:
1) Shield: short-lasting and almost worthless
2) Darkness: you can't see a thing at far distance. Death 99% guaranteed withim few seconds, since you you are too likely to fall into a trap without escape. So bad luck may and will kill - another fake difficulty
3) Speed boost. Doubles speed of falling blocks and score increases alike. First is actually not bad, since gaps between blocks are bigger and easier to slip. Somewhy tend to last random amount of time
1 is worthless and bad. 2 is instadeath and bad. 3 could be good... if it wouldn't be broken. Somewhy you are invincible to falling blocks while they have double speed. And if you die during effect, it will be with you at beginning of next try - and until if will be summoned again and then ended.
I suspect that this game is not finishedand is only in alpha stage yet. So we are fed with cold, not cooked food... which isn't good obviously...

ParkerBurns responds:

There are actually 7 different things you can collect. And yes, there are some bugs which are being fixed for the Android version. Thanks for the feedback though. Appreciate it.

Would be fun, if it wasn't so easy to cheese.

I'm almost sure I'm not the only one to point this out, but this game has quite a few small yet game-breaking glitches. For one, during the 'Speed Up' enhancement, you are completely invincible and your score ticks up at a rate of two per second; for another, if you die by flying off the edge of the screen and start a new game before an active power-up (or power-down) runs out, it persists into the game's next round until the power-up is rolled again at random... and sometimes positive or negative changes will automatically revert back to being glitchy once their time is up. I died once with the 'spinning block' change still in play, and a good thirty games later, my blocks are still spinning even on the title screen and won't stop.

Here's how my three most recent rounds went:
- played the game until I got a speed boost, and then drove myself off-screen (84 pts);
- then, played until a shield appeared, then died by off-screening again (15 pts); and
- finally, played through seriously two-fold invincibility, earning a high score of 354.

The game is almost more fun if you decide to cheat the system since the obstacles' hit boxes can be larger than they appear (especially when they're glitched into spinning nonstop). Also, are you sure there's seven different game-changers? I only managed to find five: the shield, the spinning blocks, the speed-up, the darkness, and the growing blocks. You'd think in almost six minutes of uninterrupted playing, I'd discover the last two power-ups.

ParkerBurns responds:

Lots of these bugs people are pointing out are fixed for the Android version. Thanks for the feedback, we are working on expanding the power ups and making ones that impact the game even MORE. It is reviews like this that help us turn this game into something that is actually fun. :D

Game really isnt all that addicting. Would be a little better if the hit boxes were accurate, and the controls were just more than left click.
