Reviews for "Proxy"

*SPOILERS*

I didn't like the game at all because you guys made it too obvious that the killer was the guy in the right top corner even the proxy character had the same colors as the guy. But ofc in the end he wasn't the killer just by trying to make it intense and surprising at the end you made it totally boring for me.
Sorry guys but 2 stars just for the idea and I would love to see more of your games in the future. Good luck :D

I will save a proper review for later because at the moment at least my play through was super buggy as when I made the final choice nothing happened. Initially I thought was a feature and even though the clues were obvious I reloaded and fast forwarded to try again just to have it repeat. I then continued this process trying all the different characters to receive no change, the character shoots then nothing no music or any extra cinematic on any of the characters. If you can fix this (doesn't seem to be happening to others) I will give a proper review.

awesome game it actualy played a mind game on me it was hard finding the suspect as although many people have said it was easy..... it wasn't (btw first try :D) the key to finding the killer was the final clue that was given which btw judging by many other reviews not a lot of people have seen it and have decided on the previous assumtionsO_O All in all it was an awesome game with good story and a nice gameplay ^.^

Sonoshee responds:

Thank you for playing !!
Glad you liked the game altogether ^_^ I will make sure to make better games in the future, you'll definetly like them !

I like the concept, but there are some problems: It's too easy. It's obvious who the killer is the minute they start talking, and there's too much useless dialogue. It takes forever to get to the actual gameplay and most of what the characters say is just natter that doesn't help character development or plot, not to mention the eardrum-shattering noise of the fast-forward function.

There's also a problem with the game itself: you have no choice but to wait until only two people are left in the elevator before you can do anything, which is frustrating because by then, most people would know who the killer is. You have to sit and wait for the dialogue to ramble on, and it's boring as hell.

Also: where did the main character's arm go? Most people who have a limb ripped off and don't do anything to stop the bleeding... they usually die. In fact, the first time I played it, I tried to commit suicide because only a supernatural entity wouldn't care about losing its host's limb and would know how to disintegrate or eat it or something.

So, all in all, good idea, poor execution.

Sonoshee responds:

Yea well thanks for playing but 25 minutes until the gameplay does not equal forever, and you need to replay the game because *SPOILER* the last person standing does not necessary mean that he's Proxy *SPOILER*

The player character has one hell of a response to getting his arm ripped off, "ahaaa, I see you wish to play a mind game!".
Your freezing ending issue has NOT been solved btw. I stopped counting after five, it even froze up after I was CERTAIN that I won as the killer started glowing after I shot them and then...nothing.

Also I gotta say the killer was pretty obvious, I picked them first and assumed i'd get the bad ending because I was guessing the real killer would have been pinned down by some easy to miss clue(rather than being told outright who it is just before making the decision, he was my first suspect before that but I assumed it being stated in dialogue would make them the easy "gotcha" ending)

Also I think it would have helped confuse the player if 1)Maxwell had been a suspect at the end, he was actually my second guess due to his closer proximity to each victim and 2) if the big glowing targets didn't show up on each person you aim at. It clues you in that even the dead are potentially proxy.

I really did like the concept though, but the execution wasn't great. An option to skip to the end would be a huge save after having it crash so many times, and more annoying is the game auto pauses when you try to click away to a different tab so you can't just read something until you get to the final choice.

A big criticism I have is the dialogue, it's very clunky and unnatural.
More distinct sprites and voice acting would make things better, but wouldn't be necessary.
Some small animations might help too, even just people turning to one another.

Even after all this I still hope you don't get discouraged from making more games in future, I think your imagination works well and with a more critical eye you could make some really good content in future.
Good luck, you.
