Reviews for "Alone: Meditate Existence"

Serious seizure trigger

Either this game is bugged for me or it doesn't make any sense. In the begining I jump from diferent screens suddenly. Then I reach what I think it is the level, and I can't cross it because the guy keeps falling on the floor. I don't know what R is for. I don't know why it keeps falling. What the fuck is this.

I almost got stuck in a wall like others have mentioned, but thankfully I didn't. So I managed to finish the game. I'll tell you now that it's not worth your time unless you're a masochist or come up with a similar system to beat the game like I did. It's really simple but once you figure out you can jump and then hold 'R' to recover. The only problem is that the battery runs out quickly, and there doesn't seem to be a way to refill other than rest houses. It makes the game more of a grind. The 'shift' boosts are very useful but again are very few. They respawn upon reviving.

Flashing colours is a common theme when you get to cutscenes. You can control it, but ultimately, you will lose. There are space invaders which makes the flashing and screen shaking more intense as you play. There's a shooter which when you get hit, you see a face get progressively sadder. Then you need to guide sperm to an egg.

Near the end, you come across people floating above up on platform but they do nothings. Then it goes onto a stage with holes in the ground. Sadly I fell through so I don't know what happens if you manage to get to the end of that stage. After that, you get 100% and find the machine where you pressed the arrow keys, ‘Z’ and ‘X’. You stand on a platform and rise only to disappear. I have no intention of playing again to check for an alternate ending.

'X' is a higher jump and uses up energy in around 3 jumps before only landing on your face. 'Z' is better to conserve energy and can be used with some damage, but it isn't that high a jump. None of this is explained and was figured out through trial and error along with some of the potions.

black harms yourself
red makes you smile
purple makes you faster and maybe jump higher
green heals part of damage
white I don't know

Fuckin sucks, bugged as hell, BTW its best to put the warning inside the game at the beggining than in the description

be prepared for strobing and obnoxious noise
