Reviews for "Alone: Meditate Existence"

Near the beginning I wanted to give up, but decided that I couldn't write a decent review if I didn't at least try to finish it. So I tried to finish it. At first it was frustrating as hell, but as I got past more and more obstacles and the sunk cost fallacy set in, it began to feel more like those old 8-bit and 16-bit games with unforgiving difficulty and somewhat-cryptic events. But then I came to the second resting house and saw the 11% connecting thing and dreaded the houses I had to reach before I got to, presumably, 100%. Despite that, I decided to push on maybe for a few more screens. By then I had a system where after each obstacle I had to take a breather so I wouldn't have to recuperate for a few months due to what looked like majorly bad eczema. My patience was wearing thin at this point so I decided to try the medicine, and nope didn't much help. And that's where I decided that I wasn't that much of a masochist.

1 stars for having the balls to submit an experimental game, I guess.

Well i WAS determined that i was going t beat this thing...however looks like that wont be the case... got pretty far (or so i think) made it past several houses but in the end made a jump that stuck me in one of the walls and could not get out... yea not starting over

If the game actually had a point, I and most other players failed to grasp it.

Serious seizure trigger

This game is utterly boring. No music, drawn out platforming that is breakneck precision, very slow and tedious progression rates. Was it your intention on making the audience not enjoy this game?

Main problems - Mechanics are at first confusing and don't make sense, the game feels "Broken" you pretty much are reliant on the highest jump, which also tires you out a lot faster, every 1-2 jumps you are sitting down to rest. If you sustain too much damage *(from jump falling) high jump just makes you fall again causing you to sleep for like 50 days or something ridiculous.

Just why? Why is that needed? Why halt down your games progression? I get the feeling of being "Alone" just because the atmosphere itself is alone and devoid of pretty much anything interesting , and no music.

At least make the game more playable so that people will be more willing to finish it.

Suggestions.

Remove the first level jump, its pretty much useless, I never used it.
Remove or significantly reduce the "Resting time."
What the hell is the battery bar for? I was always empty on it.
your level of "difficulty" beings at "difficult." Ease your players into this mundaneness a little better by starting with less of those annoying long slopes that require you to jump 2 and 3 times to clear them.
Remove the spike obstacles they are pointless, you get hurt enough just from jumping too much. -____-

All in all, I just want to understand this game, right now I don't, I dont get its purpose, all I am is frustrated and feeling empty like you were trying something innovative but missed the memo of "fun" innovation.
