Reviews for "Shybot"

nice game

what i did not like was that the bots size is 2 pixels wider than the size of a stone. This often results in beeing hit, like Voba said before. Also, jump height is not freely controllable, but this may be simply because there is not enough training before dieingfrom getting the jump heigt wrong. After all, i ll try again on the second boss now - i met him only once before - but if I fail (and I will fail, because i still dont know how to defeat him and will arrive most likely with only 1 or 2 health) I will definetely not try him again. He needs a savepoint i guess.

The inbetween the save points are very annoying. The pace of the game doesn't help at all either.

Is it just me, or do the hitboxes seem off? Top and bottom, specifically, like when I'm walking from platform to spikes and about to jump off it. Or when I bump my head on spikes with a rather soft jump.

Yet another metroidvania that relies only on precision jumping and avoiding horrible hit-boxes. The drill only works for opening paths, it can kill some bots but you have to be standing still by them before using it, rendering it useless for offense. For a metroidvania the map feels too linear, there is no upgrades or incentive to go back to previous areas. Difficulty in the game seem to increase only by level of spikes and distance between save points. Other than having bosses with unique mechanics and moving platforms this game feels like its lacking the game-play altering mechanics of the its type.

You know what I don't like?

Long wait times between blocks going up and down/sideways.

I also don't like unnecessary difficulty spikes and lows.

I don't have infinite time here, nobody does anymore.

Nice art, though.
