Reviews for "Idle Farmer"

Great game, while the prices do tend to jump later on and leveling your wife is a little hard at first it's still very good. For those who haven't figured it out yet, if your chickens start flashing, click them and you'll get the eggs. As others say this does need more features and more reasons for getting houses, maybe even more livestock and plots. What REALLY needs to be done though is helpers and maybe a sort of daily reward system when logged into NG, things like the flower chance boost, egg amount boosts, ect. Also another idea would be seasons that will encourage the players to do some more of the active parts. For instance, winter the plants will grow slower with a chance of freezing over, summer the plants grow quicker when watered, autumn harvesting is slower if leaves aren't removed from them and spring being the best time of the year where the plants grow quicker, flower chance increased and harvesting is a bit quicker.

But at the moment still a great game I'd easily pay for this on an iOS device or on Steam. Keep up the good work ^_^

Junjo responds:

Daily reward is added now with update v1.59 :)
Some of the other suggestions are being implemented for the sequel of the game.

Great Game. I like the social aspect. My gripes: I think the price of the stone house is not worth it because I barely see a change in the wife's ability to level up after I bought it. I wish there were more ways for the wife to level up faster or get more pay off in points because the egg collection is quite slow especially when she only collects one egg at a time!

Junjo responds:

Maybe you didn't noticed that, but with every upgrade level of the house, your wife gets +5 exp for every bunch of flowers.

Awesome game. Cant stop playing it. I would recommend a better reason to upgrade the house and possibly being able to buy more plots, a helper, and second farm land for the helper to grow for you.

#16 today, next the world :P

very good game, the wife and chicken thing should be clarified cuz she hasn't collected any eggs

I enjoyed it. It's very nice to just have running in the background of whatever I'm doing at the moment or while I sleep, and functionally it's quite sound. I'm not tremendously far along in it, but from what I've seen I have to agree with the others saying there isn't enough content - I know it's an idle game, but there's really quite little to do. The 'active' components of the game simply aren't engaging enough to really work. Even once you unlock things like the eggs or the lunch mechanics, it's not really doing anything different, just doing the same things faster. If there was more variety - maybe a mini-game of some kind when irrigating - then I could see the active portion taken more seriously.

Beyond that though? What's there definitely works. You nailed the important aspects of an idle game. It doesn't quit or pause when you minimize or switch tabs, and you can drop it at any point and just let it go. There isn't even a switch to hit, you can just up and walk away. It works just fast enough when idling that I still feel it's being productive, but at the same time I know things would go way faster if I chose to step in. The active has benefits, but don't overshadow the idle play. The cost mechanics are a little odd, but keep me from feeling like I'm getting too far too fast.

My recommendations would be to A) add more features, B) make the active features a touch more engrossing, and C) notch down some of the more exorbitant prices (I'm looking at you, houses). Overall, it's really only the fact that this game can idle, and idle WELL, that saves it. The active components are just too weak.

My chickens appear to be trying to go Super Saiyan. Please advise.
