Reviews for "Tiny Dangerous Dungeons"

this is a good game makes me remember the old days when I was a kid.good job.what can tell from all these reviews that talk about it being to hard is that you are way to young to remember how hard the old games were try playing the old mega man on the NES the jumping was the same but it was harder because some levels had ice and small squares to land on or you die. This is how games play back in the good old days. You guys just need to stop complaining just because young grew up in the wimpy game generation where if you die you spawn rite were you died. Try playing a game that if didn't write down the password you had to start all the way at the beginning If you died or better yet one that had no passwords and you only had three lives and that's it if you didn't beat the game start all over. That makes a real gamer out of you. a game is supposed to be challenging and piss you off where you wanna put you controller through the tv or break your keyboard if it doesn't why play it

Great game, amazing likeness to the old Gameboy games. The music is great, too. Pissed me off too much for me to keep playing it though lol. The jumping mechanic feels kind of wrong... like you float through the air when you jump. You jump too far, makes it hard to get from ledge to ledge. It's annoying having to replay the level all over again because I jumped and it went too far and I fell off a ledge. Sigh

Fun as hell. The gameplay is fun, the controls are great, the music is awesome, the graphics look exactly like how it would be on a gameboy, but the game is a little hard. Not THAT hard, but I just rage quit on the final boss. I eventually beat it, and got a decently satisfying ending. I really hope you can manage to make more games like this, and Merry Christmas!

Very hard game, not worth playing through again and not using saves, or not getting hit that's for SURE.

Slippery controls, jumping frogs with too big of a hitbox, overuse of arrows in close proximity (though the arrows were not SO bad after awhile), slow fire rate on the daggers, plus the dagger hitbox was too small causing a lot of wasted time just trying to hit single enemies.

Overall the more items you got, the easier the game became end was one of the easier parts of this game. The boss attack pattern was really easy to learn just like from a metroid game (hence part of the metroidvania gameplay) I liked the game although I didn't love it, it was good but I definitely got too angry playing it for it to become enjoyable. great graphics and good music though.

AdventureIslands responds:

Enemies have much smaller hitboxes than their actual graphics. I think the problem was that you were trying to rush too much.

Clearing the game with no saves and deaths is mostly just for bragging rights.

Honestly, I loved the game. The music was fitting; the controls were tight and responsive; and even the gameplay itself was challenging yet fun. And I wanted to give you 5 stars so badly. Sooooo badly. Then I made it to the treasure room, and I had to keep going through the same level dozens of times every time I died. The thrill of beating the boss was lost through having to trudge through the same level time after time. So although it was a great game, it tripped in the homestretch and left an awful taste in my mouth. A checkpoint upon reaching the treasure room would have helped tremendously.
