ok now....i really liked the story....it had a simple truth about the human race,that stupidity and fear always led the pathetic human to take the easy decisions!
now, i liked also the atmosphere of the game,the music had a very big part in that,but unfortunately it stopped all the time,that was something that annoyed me a lot,because suddenly i was there playing a game with no sound at all!
secondly as far as my opinion goes, i think it wasn't a very succesful move to create the boy character as a pixel, both aesthetically and practically:
aesthetically because the final result looked very poor (with 20,or 25 pixels more you could have a more creature-human like result) and
practically because some times it was pretty annoying trying to control a tiny pixel!
the third issue i had was the repetitivity!the interactive parts of the game where highly repetitive something that made the gameplay pretty boring....
the last issue i had was the ending!what should the player do??i just kept walking,and when the music had stopped for a long time i got tired and i left the game,but, was that it or did i lost an episode or something??

loved the japanese details,loved the guardian (the whole concept reminded me a lot of the iron giant animation,one of my favorites)

ps:everything i said i wasn't trying to be mean,i'm just giving my feedback in order to help an artist to get even better....hope you dont misunderstand

Thanks. I don't think your mean at all, just honest.
Making all people pixels was partly done because navigation and animation would have been a lot harder (and I wanted the game to be really small and quick, I basicly made it in a weekend).

At the end you can continue to the right until the credits roll, after that there is nothing else to do.

The Iron Giant was actually an inspiration for making this. :)

Controls are only given in Japanese... Stuck at the point where the Guardian jerks his arm with birds in te background. No idea how to progress further.
As what I've seen up to yet wasn't to interesting either, it's just half a star.

the game is good butt i spend half and hour walking whit the giant after a past the village and ¿what happen with the japanese language

Good game Nicole! I Was sad when Hiruka died, the giant can't express himself, but i know what was hes feel, keep doing games like this! :)

i like the main theme a lot and the music but the controls get stuck a lot and you have to refresh to start over

I don't know how that can happen with the keys getting stuck, but I'm sorry for that. If I can, I will try and fix it.
