Reviews for "Battle for Darkness"

what, i can not recruit ghosts, skeleton dragons, ghost dragons, zombies, vampires, dark mares, succubi, incubi, hell hounds, cerberi, necromancer, liches, mummies fallen paladins/death knights and devils? i mean, the enemy even has paladins and a titan! we should at least have a undead dragons!

pretty good over all it's aliitle repetatve though

The game is very Diablo-esc and the art style reeks of early-days Activision. I have to say, the mix of photo-realism pictures and animation doesn't feel right to me. As a first impression the game looks very mundane and boring. The ability to shuffle your army depending on the upcoming unit is very interesting. Adds more skill into the game.
I could easily see this game getting boring, repetitive, and stale.

Again, Like Feefi said, randomly spawning enemies could be good for the game and make the 'shuffle' ability more used.
I would give it a 4/5 but after playing I don't think it deserves one, 3/5

allright, i found this pretty fun, but not perfect, nothing is though.

the game was very very slow and a little booring at times because of it. i often found myself turning onto another tab and letting my soldiers duke it out to earn money to upgrade everyone.

the game would have been much better if it was a little more action oriented, but it made up for this by having the charecters and thier strengths/weaknesses not being linear, forcing you to switch teams around often, but i would have found it much better if it switched a little more because lower classes become entirely useless later on. i was a little interested in the plot, it was very mediocre, but thats usualy flashgames in general, but the ending... there wasnt one "congrats you invaded, hoorah"

all in all, slower then i woulda prefered, not as strategic as i woulda prefered, nut sufficiently entertaining to get me to stick to it, plot was awfull. 6/10

I don't know what to think about this game. Looks pretty good, but I find that the strategy is almost absent, you just keep attaccking again and again until you gain all the upgrades.
For me, there are too few upgrades.
I don't get why the charge is a choose: if it bring a lot of bonuses with no drawback, why don't simple always charging?
The bigger problem is that you run in the same way with the same enemies, so you do almost the same tactical decisions every battle.
I didn't like also the fact that you can have only a ploton of each unit: how about give a limited number of slots where you can put what you want? This will add a lot of strategy and personalization.
This, and a levels-based gameplay istead of only a road, imho will make this game a big 5 stars.
