Reviews for "Battle for Darkness"

Decent graphics and animation.

It gets very repetitive after a time - you always have to defeat the same 'easy" waves before you can get to the more challenging ones, which is very boring. Maybe you could have added "checkpoints" to allow the player to start at a later point?

More critically, the "drag and drop" method of changing your formation in battle does not always work properly. Sometimes the circles demarcating your different groups don't properly follow the mouse cursor, and "get lost" off the edge of the screen. You have to click several times to release, then start over. This is NOT a good thing to have happen in a critical battle. Also, your groups don't always seem to drop in the position where they're supposed to be. Furthermore, many of the icons indicating your different units types look too similar to each other. For example, the Demon and underworld warriors.

Way to mutch grinding for money, what you need to do is at 500 Ft All money is gained at 1.5 speed and at 1k feet 2x speed and so on. Then at wave 5 you should give 50 extra gold wave 10 100, so ion. Other than that very smooth animation well drawn, though a different background would be nice, i turned sound on for few minutes and it was good. Seems to be very little stratefy needed in the first 20 waves since you don't have mutch of a choice between units, though what makes no sense is my archers were last unit alive vs 5 other archers that were about 4/4 dead and the enenmy archers still somehow won.

I just got a score of 2012 (or 3006, if you believe what it says before sending) on a game that's pretty much about the end of a civilization, I bet that's what the maya's meant. Got the good start in 10 days, the tactician in 20 and final victory in 35, so the later achievements do seem to be easier to get, as others noted. (Or maybe that's because I bought only part of the units, that may be cheating) It did get a bit repetitive, but at least the gamespeed could be set higher, and the charge helped too.

Overall, it was pretty fun.

I liked the theme of monsters vs humans. The game is a bit too grindy for my taste. It would be cooler if we could customize our own army rather than just buying everything. Because the prices are set up so that you basically have to buy everything, or grind until you have ridicilous amounts of money saved up if you want to skip units.

Like everyone has really said, It is very repetitive. BUt it def is fun being the evil :P
I found myself playing around with placement of my units but its usually warriors in front til soldiers and switch with another... But ya know :P
Still fun ^.^
