Reviews for "Pkmn: World of Chaos Ep 8"

While watching this series it feels like you're building some sort of 'relationship' between Guardevoir and Teejay, and I know Guardevoir is considered one of the most 'human' like pok'emon but I still can't seem to get over the fact that it feels a little wierd for either of them to have feelings for the other because that would basicly be like bestiality in the Pok'emon world.

But putting uneasy suspicions aside, I like how well this episode came together. The story is very entertaining and the direction in which it's gone was also a good choice. You have a mix of different animation styles, such as the classic sprite scenes and then the close up ones which capture the moment appropriately. Also it's very fun being able to interact with the video and play a quick match for the character, I think you made a good decision adding that into your series. But I have to admit when Houndour was evolving during that somewhat emotional scene it kinda killed the mood for me and seemed a bit too spontanious, the evolution itself seemed like a good idea for this episode but I think there could've been a better timing for it, like right after they woke up inside the gym maybe. Keep up the good work, I'm excited to see the next episode.

I hope the Teejay/Gardevoir thing isn't what made you lower your score. You're not the first person to mention this, and not the last I'm sure. As far as being bestiality, I guess that depends on your tolerance. Some say, for example, that Lois Lane/Superman is bestiality because he's not human even though he looks like it. I on the other hand have a somewhat high tolerance because I have a thing for girls who aren't quite human. If Teejay's love interest in the series was let's say a female Rapidash, then I think that would be too beastly.

As far as the Houndour evolving in the middle of an emotional scene, it was to lighten the mood but fail to cheer up Gardevoir. That was meant to show you how disturbed she was.

When you choose between fight and spectate it would be nice if you didn't have to keep pressing the continue button for spectate. Otherwise good job.

Yeah, but then people would complain about the text boxes either moving too fast to read or too slow to hold their interest. Manual control is best.

Sorry to say it, but KhawnerL does have a fair part of my own thoughts down.

However, I see a genuine attempt here; it certainly doesn't seem half-assed and there is a semblance of uniqueness in the story, underneath the generic fanfic cover-up (overall same personalities as any fanfic would have, and similar stories). My favorite part was probably the whole sacrifice thing, but it really bugged me when it was converted to a dream state, although you did foreshadow it. Would of been interesting to find out how a character in a popular children's game would deal with a deep tragedy, not to mention original and a surprising twist. There's definitely bits and pieces which turn this into something more than an everyday fan-fic. One example being a more mature main character not awkwardly flirting with the distressed, overemotional female counterpart.

Probably one of the biggest, and most commen, problems I'm seeing in the series so far is an unwillingness to lose characters not already lost: if you drag it on too long you'll gain new fans, but never keep old ones.

As for the art, a bad artist can still convey the same feelings as a great one. If you care that much for appearance, however, you'll just have to keep drawing. Gets better with time.

I wouldn't lump myself in with KhawnerL if I was you. He's just being a baby because we butted heads before. Plus most of what he said was unfounded. You on the other hand sound like you're making an honest reveiw. I'm not sure how this qualifies as a generic fanfic cover up. It is a valid point that I'm not willing to kill off my main characters, but some shows don't do that. I don't know why that would make me lose my fans. Believe it or not, some people like it when characters don't die. Plus my series is only 25 episodes, and each episode will be interesting enough to keep the series from dragging on.

Not bad, not bad at all. But, there are a few things I would like to say. The dark side of the Pokemon universe is niteresting, but the voice acting, to out it mildly, is bad. I have no sense of that kind of thing, so that's saying something. The battle are a nice touch, and your Photoshop skills are impressive, but you Flash drawing skills leave a lot to be desired. The whole Shadow Pokemon angle was done in Pokemon Coliseum and XD Gale of Darkness, so seeing it here was kind of a neutral reaction, considering this was my first time seeing this. All in all, not really my cup of tea.

teejay-number13 responds:

If you have no sense of voice acting, then how do you know it's bad? I can't improve it if you don't tell me what you think is wrong. Writing and programming are my aptitudes, not art or animation. So it probably won't compete with other artists on NG. I like to think my story is good enough to make up for my lack a drawing skills. The Dark Pokemon in my series and Shadow Pokemon are two different things. So the Dark Pokemon angle I used in my series does not come from Colosseum or XD at all.

why this on games with medals
