Reviews for "Man Who Sold The World"

It was very good and I liked the soundtrack most of all...
Oh and for BSUVincent problem with the vines...you just have to keep moving to the right and don't get sidetracked..lol

I am taking into mind that this is to be an artistic game with a message inside of it.

At the same time, to experience this message shouldn't make the gameplay near intolerable. I had to read the comments to know how to get across the vine challenge. I was down to the last try on one of those vine challenges before simply quitting the game. That being the challenge above the lake pit on the tree level.

Any point I was to receive there and going forward was lost in the confusion and anger I had toward trying to control the character. Thus, it was lost on me.

Not only did you make an art game, you made one that was awful. It has very little plot that has a cliche premise, and the platforming is slow and monotonous. Most of the levels are empty, and what appear to be hidden areas and shortcuts tend to be a longer path than the beaten one. This is far from good.

Short, meaningful game. It really impressed how such a short game could make me wander for so long, about lots of different aspects in life. I never thought I would pick love.

Now about the technical aspects of the game. I loved the art, the 8bit was great and so was the programming. I realy felt the weight of the character -and the lack of it on Eterna. Music was great. A bit repetitive, aye. But i think it was a "necessary harm" to create the environment. You, being all alone and lost, with nothing but that short loops of track to make you company.

So far this game has made me run through mostly-empty levels,, has punished me for exploration and has bored me with otherwise shallow game play.

I'm going to continue playing because the story you've presented seems interesting enough to tolerate such fundamental design mistakes. However, I wouldn't normally do this, so I'm being mean and giving you a low rating.
