Reviews for "Man Who Sold The World"

I wasn't too keen on the graphics, i felt it was clashing the pixel look with vector art.
Also I was really not impressed with that ghastly vine pit where if you missed it, u'd have go all the way around again.

I did like the feel of the game through, quite a nice atmosphere and creative music too

i find so many refrences to sandman from neil gailman. Was it intentional?

As a game (ignoring the deep meaning within) I would say it's a game with good qualities and needs to be improved but the meaning is what this game is about.

Music: I liked it. Fits in nicely with the stages and doesn't distract or annoy the player.
Graphics: I enjoyed the simple backgrounds but can't bring myself to say the graphics were good. (I know it's a game with a deeper meaning but I dislike this excuse when it comes to quality.)
Controls: simple and works but would be nice to have a quick introduction menu where it shows controls even though players should be able to find it easily, it would be good for those who have a short attention span and are too lazy to figure it out.
Difficulty: If you can't at least get the normal ending then that's just sad (yes you can blame your computer or this game but it's still sad)
Meaning: I'm not going to ruin it for other players or put in my own perspective but this is what the game revolves around it was executed poorly. I'm not sure if it was the way it was presented or maybe I already have my opinion about it but it didn't stop me and make me think... With games like these the meaning really needs to stop a player and make him think otherwise the message hasn't been passed on. I spent more time thinking why the meaning didn't make me think long about it than the actual meaning. Maybe if the meaning was harder to achieve or was presented differently.

This game can be improved upon in so many ways but as is it still kept me searching for the meaning and kept me entertained. Would be nice if it had better hidden secrets.

all in all a decent game but nothing to exceptional about it.

awesome

The controls were alright :)

The story.... the ending; the 9eternity-ending had a deep meaning. You never know which moment a higherbeing will glance at to determine our fate. So keep being active and be a nice person to help increase our chances of having a "favorable-glance".

I found all of the eternitypieces in my 1st playthru, except the 1 in the city/love stage... had to fall in a hole, instead of jumping over, to obtain it.
