Reviews for "Last Dance (Part 1)"

Good job Shroom-Cushion. After talking to you in chat yesterday I believe this is your first game. So excellent work for a first game and well done for making it so quickly. You obviously are a quick learner. The game is fairly simple and quick and easy to finish. You made the choices simple and the fact that at some points you can either restart or go back to a save point. That was a good idea. The addition of medals is good and they aren't hard to get so that's an added bonus. Overall a really cool first up effort. So for this I Voted 3/5 and Rated 7/10. Well done, I look forward to future submissions.
Cheers gamejunkie.

Shroom-Cushion responds:

Hey, thank you for checking this out!

Yep, this is my first game. I think I also said that in the author comments too.

Hopefully this will work as a good learning experience for future stuff. I really need to get my artistic shit together... somehow, I don't know. Maybe when I get my PC back and won't need to draw on these weird laptop mousepads, the art will get at least... 5% better.

So thank you for the kind words. Cheers!

I think it's a pretty good game but I would have enjoyed this much more if it was longer. Other than that, I quite liked the art style and I really liked the humor in it. You really should do the second part.

Shroom-Cushion responds:

And second part I shall do! With hopefully better art, while somehow keeping the style.

Thanks for playing!

Nice, I would love to play the sequel. Immpecable atmosphere, the sound is awesome.

Shroom-Cushion responds:

Well, you have to thank Trevor for the sound, he's the composer!

And there will be a sequel, hopefully you'll like that one too.

This was a short and entertaining multi-choice game. Very good job for your first flash game. the medals work, and I earned them all. It took me a bit to figure out the secret medal. Will there be a sequel?

Shroom-Cushion responds:

Hey, thanks for the review.

To answer your question, yeah, there will be a sequel - longer, MAYBE with more advanced art (only maybe on this one) and if I can pull it off, more enjoyable too.

Cheers!

Though the drawings were a bit shitty, and the music was kind of repetitive, I had fun and enjoyed the jokes. The game being quite simple, there weren't really any glitches or bugs to speak of, the only thing I can really complain about in that regard, is that the medal get popup sometimes appears in front of the choices you can pick, and you have to wait an eternity for that slow ass goat to move its rectangle shaped ass out of the picture.

Shroom-Cushion responds:

Yeah, the whole achievement popping thing was annoying when I tested it too, but I bet that if there were no pop up and achievements appeared out of somewhere like ninjas, people would get the time to see that this game is not as fun! Achievements can pump up not such good games a little higher and me knowing that I'm not really good at making games or drawing - added achievements. POP UP ONES!

Anyway, thanks for the review.
