Reviews for "Diamond Hollow II"

Well

It was nothing special. The concept used here is original but there has been many ideas like it. As for gameplay it was stock and not much fun, the graphics are ordinary, the music wasn't bad, yet had little deviation from it. I really honestly don't how this was front page worthy.

average

this is no more than a normal platformer. there is no depth in originality in this game. it has a story and upgrade features but i have played stuff like this alot of time.

The game is fun until you get to the boss fights

The boss fights in this game are way to hard, especially compared to the rest of the game. I'd say either get rid of the annoying fireballs or make it so the enemies drop health when they die. I have been upgrading my gun and aegis but its still not enough when i get raped into a corner by 10 enemies and 4 fireballs.

Bad controls done on purpose?

I'm going to be strait forward and say. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO GRIND FOR GOOD CONTROLS!!!! All through this game I thought it had bad controls with horrendous jumping untiil I started leveling up. This means the bad controls were done on purpose. Thus said if you have a problem with a level just grind with the old ones. Then it's easy as cake.

controls were not nicely reactive. I would keep moving well after letting go of a key. Sometimes would not jump when I pressed jump. In a game where you need to dodge, not having perfect control is frustrating. There were upgrades for jumping, but as far as I got there was no need for it. Besides, when my character jumps late, or not at all when I need him too I felt like having a jump upgrade was a little silly.
