Reviews for "PRIOR"

Wow

Wow, the 1st ending i got was 'you belong here', fucked up man! But the game is pretty cool!!

Very interesting...

Like the game Viewpoints, PRIOR has multiple, albeit related, endings. My only problem with it is that I have to replay/reexplore entirely different areas just to reach the endings.

*SPOILER ALERT* - You have been warned!

Endings
1) You find Dr. +/G in subbasement level V. He has apparently hung himself and killed someone else (or assisted in their suicide). On the wall, written in blood, are the words "I'M SORRY TOO".
2) You escape the facility, only to see City XY*213 get nuked.
3) You discover that you have killed your family after being given @73, and fall into an unclimbable hole, with a note reading "This is where you belong" at the bottom.

This was a rather interesting game. I acquired three endings, and only one of them left me with a feeling of satisfaction.

It has a nice story, but black rectangles on war with white rectangles seems kinda racist. Other than that, the story is marvelous.

Edit: The quote above was from an underage 11 year old who has absolutely no idea what the hell he's saying. This game is still pretty alright, the guy moves a bit slow for me but I'm sure there are people who can appreciate slow movement. The contrast between light and dark is used well in conjunction with the game's minimalist art style. The puzzles are a bit tricky but that's a good thing because it provides challenge.

Great game! The minimalist art style, the eerie and creepily synthesized music, the dark and depressing story...I absolutely love it! The only thing keeping me from giving 5/5 is the fact that once you beat one ending, your save file is gone. To get multiple endings, you need to repeat the entire game...at least as far as I've seen. Regardless, I recommend it for anyone with a lot of patience. ~AP
