Reviews for "Rise Of The Gunslinger"

fucken good

good job, shitty animation but a good story and cool.

savage011 responds:

Thank you kind sir

Deserves to be re-made.

What we have here is a very high-quality story with sub-par animation. Mind you, I consider story more important than animation, but it does ruin it a little for me in this instance. Some scenes, such as the final disappearance, dragged on far too long without much to look at; rather than being ominous and inspiring, it simply became boring once you realized what had happened and still had to sit through the animation.

That being said, what animation skill you have was put to extremely good use. The story is easy to follow without the use of dialogue or explanations, facial expressions (though subtle) were well-used, and the actual action sequences were fast, as gun fights should really be- leaving the viewer to simply stutter in shock. Thumbs up, for that.

If this were to be remade, I would not recommend changing the art style- but maybe a switch to frame-by-frame rather than motion tweening. Audio quality could be higher, as well- Other than that? I enjoyed it and grant a 3/5 7/10. You've got a real knack for great, simple stories with complex implications.

savage011 responds:

thanks, a lot of this was frame by frame though, i just moved the symbols around. Maybe in a few years ill look back on this and remake it like you said.

Cliche...

Meh I give it a 7. I've heard many stories like this and my imagination gave me a better picture than the drawings. I also give it a 4 because of the animation.

savage011 responds:

a 7 is good enough for me

hmm...

I sort of liked the story. But, if he was a ghost, how did that one guy shoot off his hat?

There were some sound issues, probably my speakers, and some animation things.

savage011 responds:

it wasnt your speakers, the sounds were out of sinc so i converted the audio to adcm but that makes it crackle :(

good effort

Although you borrowed a lot from "For a Few Dollars More" as any Clint Eastwood fan could easily pick out, the plot was origional and the animation and sound flowed together well. Art was kind of rough though.

savage011 responds:

thanks, i love for a few dollars more so much that i couldnt help myself :)
