Reviews for "Riddles of Renaissance"

Jesus Christ (pun intended) ... my eyes

I can hardly see these details in the paintings. Kudos for the effort in the Where's Waldo-esque style hunts, but I think the flash size and the busy paintings chosen was not a wise choice. My eyes hurt now... better luck next time.

mrty responds:

I'll fix the quality problem little by little (riddle by riddle :)) in the near future, but please... As I already said in my January 24th update, you people should stop wasting your reviews only on pointing out problems and never focusing on good qualities. It's been 3 days, no more, since I submitted the game. I'm trying to get some rest now...

ZOMFG!!!

I just had over half of these pictures in my Humanities class this morning! How f***n awesome is that? I'm so gonna be the cool guy in class on Wed. Thanks Mrty! XD

Great idea

Loved the subject, loved the riddles, loved the music. Only one weak spot though. The paintings are in less than sufficient quality. I understand it's hard obtaining high-res reproductions, still that and a zoom option would be more than welcome. Otherwise some of the riddles (when not familiar with the painting) require you to google for a clearer copy of the painting.

mrty responds:

Frankly, the zooming is a bit of a complex issue and I don't think I'll implement that feature in this game, but in a sequel, if there really will be any... I'll give it a try, but for now, it's not even nearly as important as fixing the quality issue... not to mention my own problems.

Solid & Educational

This was a fun & interesting game,i liked the idea of it looking for certain spots and reading riddles on where they are in the pictures, the pictures looked great in the flash game and it was quite educational too which is something you rarely see here on NG but i had a swell time with the game and enjoyed it so i hope you make another some time in the future. :)

fun and interesting

fun, interesting, and educating all at the same time. My only gripes would be the fact that some of the paintings are very hard to make out, and also the fact that there is only 1 set of paintings. I think it would be a better game to have 3 different sets of paintings on increasing levels of difficulty instead of just the same set of paintings all 3 times. That set, the rankings are cool, even though I got pope easy :p. It's also not a hard game once you beat it in novice level so that's not to the game's advantage.
