No greater game on Newgrounds
There is really no other game on Newgrounds that tops this game. It has depth, it has cool and funny characters. It has cuteness and it even has a bit of longevity. Finally I can say that this game is a masterpiece on Newgrounds. It is one of the best and deserves the most praise by anyone, ever.
The graphics all fit well with the art style, I felt accomplished learning all these new skills and bashing away at the enemies. Each new level provided different difficulties in which I had to arm myself accordingly so that I wasn't utterly terminated before my chance to attack. Each battle wasn't meant to click this or that to make SURE you won, you actually had to think and prepare a strategy, which a lot of other flash RPG's do not offer.
Granted I felt Ragnarok could have been more powerful, and damn it, Lance died way too friggin' often, MY Lance at least. I would really love to play the game through the 2 harder difficulties but sadly, I don't got that kind of time or commitment for it now that I've beaten it, though I would like to see the battles that unfold from the "All Medals" area. But that's okay. I really liked the indepth rewards you can get based on your achievements, that really shined out to me.
The ONLY thing I disliked was the final battle. Not because it was hard and not because it was easy. But because it was LONG. My battle took approximately 2 hours and 43 minutes. Rightfully so because I realized my weapon choices weren't exactly spot on, and I changed strategies late into the battle to handle the Dark Claw's before they could heal our lovely final boss.
Aside from that the game is incredible, it is an impeccable creation that Newgrounds has the honor of airing. If there is a Epic Battle Fantasy 4 I strongly suggest it should even become a Wii Ware title if it is as great as this one. If not, Epic Battle Fantasy 3 needs to become a Wii Ware title. I sense great revenue for this great game. Provided a number of extra's were added into such a Wii Ware title.
