I'll admit i liked the game a lot, it was really fun, but since when can the king not attack when he's in checkmate with a queen? i could understand if there was something protecting the queen but i do not recall there being anything.
If it helps my king was in the right hand corner with just a pawn in front of him, i will admit this may be my eyes deceiving me, or it might be a bug in ur game either way good job.

That's not a 'bug' AndresUru, that's a move called 'En Passent'. Check out the moves of chess on Wikipedia.

Glad you put en passent in there. Most flash based chess games forget all about it.
The kill things were a good "lol" but basically all you have here is chess.
The 7 is for some pretty good looking pieces and having a whole tatical set up worked out to get that queen with my king.
My main problem with the AI is it's lack of abiltly to look at the board as a whole. It would be great checking my king all day long but it didn't see easy checkmates and rarely would move pawns up in situations where my pieces were pinned down.

ok yeah, you can most certainly block checks and castle. havent tried en passant,
but.
i do recall having trouble with castling the first time i tried it and i thought it wasent working until i saw the computer do it.
might want to look in to that one!
difficulty setting would be rather sex also, and um, i cant seem to find a turn zee sound offs!-button.

I loved the DOS game "battle chess" as a kid and was really excited to see a game similar to it. Its pretty decent, but there are some things that need attention.
- Improved battle scenes. I understand that there are HEAPS of them and making them all good would be a mission. But having a sound effect playing and showing a picture of a dead person isnt really that great.
- A difficulty for the A.I. I found the A.I was a good balance for me, but im sure some people want it harder or easier.
Dont get me wrong - its damn good. It could just be even better.
