Reviews for "Air Pressure"

Thanks for an interesting game

Spoilers?

Hospital? I guess I missed that part. We were in my room, then the park, then back to my room. I got her to leave. She sounded like she needed to go anyway.

It was an interesting game.

Brilliant.

I normally don't even check on Newgrounds anymore, but I came across a link to this somewhere else and I just had to leave a review.

It's pretty much perfect for what it intends to be - the metaphor behind it is great, and it's all delivered in a very fitting way. The idea of anti-social, harmful escapism that the game focuses on works brilliantly with the anime dating sim theme, complete with a soothing chiptune music, a bright, calming color scheme, nostalgic pixely visuals and audio and an overall very welcoming atmosphere which clashes brilliantly with the actual message behind it.

It was also fairly subtle - I like how, looking through the user reviews, very few of the people who found it boring actually understood it - a lot of them simply wanted it to be explained more clearly, which is just missing the entire point of the story. I think it's perfect as it is and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Very Deep

For the person who didn't understand the hospital part....

If you take drugs, you put them through your veins. (not speaking from experience here!) When you decided you needed her, you took the drug.

If you decided not to and made her leave, you turned down the drug.

This is open to interpretation, but... that just makes the most sense to me.

Anyways, very deep, and the branches were amazing.

johny 99 has a good point

When I looked at the other reviews, drug abused seemed to be the only thing I could think the girl was. But your explanation holds water as well. Unfortunately, Unless the author tells us exactly what the girl is meant to be, we'll never know for sure.

Maybe broader.

It may just be meant for any kind of addiction that people rely on to feel happy, not exactly cutting or a drug of sorts. It may also be something about the colors; even though this is actually kind of a depressing story the yellow oranges and browns make you feel comfortable and happy, so that everything doesn't seem to be as bad as it is. And also, with all flash games like this, there's alot that's up to the viewer, and not everyone sees the same thing, some see nothing at all.
