Wish i could give more

Looks really cool but on the lowest quality i still lag. My guy jumps around like a frog.

Cool game. Nicejob!

That's a game that worth to play.
Nice job on this.

Original

It reminds me of many other games. I liked it pretty much but i found myself dying and dying just because of the weird controls, how others said it would have been better if you just could take the next colour instead that special letter for the colour.

ALSO: i found a bug where, if you put a block on one of those switches and switched the colour in the door you could run around in the gray zone.

Good but could use some tweaking.

Premise:
An innovative and colorful twist to the standard platformer genre. Story is okay but unengaging and is not further explored within (the large majority of) the rest of the game. I've only made it to floor 25 so I assume there is some sort of ending/story explanation.

Graphics:
Clean, simple, and well done for the most part. There is a nice contrast between the colors of the hero and the gray/white of the background and the black of the obstacles. There does exist great deal of slowdown and lag spikes when using the higher graphical settings.

Sound:
Music and sound effects were appropriate if somewhat unspectacular. Elevator music was a nice touch. The addition of sound level settings was very helpful.

Gameplay:
While the gameplay is (for the most part) a refreshing take on platformers, the enjoyability of the game suffers heavily due to the control scheme. The difficulty level of some of the floors requires fast almost split-second changing of colors which is hard using the game's default control scheme. An option that allows the player to map controls to keys of their choice would be very helpful. Some of the level designs and enemy placements made it incredibly difficult and frustrating to pass (ex: A blob monster hitting you with a glob while you are hanging on a ledge with nowhere to go. Difficult sections place near the end of a long level with no checkpoint in the middle, requiring several tries on a level that can take 5+ minutes to complete leading to endless frustration.) I found myself spending hours on this game not because it was especially enjoyable but because some floors took upwards of 15-25 minutes to pass. Levels should be sufficiently difficult so that a player will be hard pressed to complete it without dying once or twice but not so difficult as to require excess of 10+ tries to complete; especially so on longer levels without checkpoints.
6.5/10
Overall:
An inspired platformer that looked good and was fun to play at first but led to much frustration due to locked in control scheme and poor level design. The amount of work that went into this game is evident and the final product is mostly enjoyable. Good work.

minor setbacks

Great job on putting all this together! Only thing I would suggest is adding on a quality selection in your settings!

JackSmack responds:

Right click on the screen and you can change quality, I guess it should have been included in the heads up interface though.
