Reviews for "Record of Dragon Burial 1"

You're almost there, just a little further!

Animation wise, this was either great or poor. There were some parts where the characters moved naturally and it looked very realistic, but there were some parts that were very poorly made such as when that one person is lying on his back and reaches with his arms up there was no animation for the clothing on his arms.

Story wise, absolutely nothing was given away in the grand scheme of things and that's a real let-down because there's so much mood and tone in this.

VO work could have been better and it can be tough to find the right ones for each part but it pays to be picky.

The quality of the video (not the movie as a whole) was an immediate turn off and should be the first thing dealt with. You're just so close to being a very engaging narrative, just add that extra bit of polish and you've got something special.

the start was brilliant

but it just felt as if you got lazy in the end because the animations stopped fitting the background. be like VALVe and say "screw the timeline we're perfecting this"

not to bad...

I don,t like naruto and this was kinda like naruto except it was better then that crapy ass show naruto. The characters did remind me a bit of samurai champloo i like that its more serious then naruto not that goofy and anoying... And the fighting was ok...

I have mixed feelings towards this.

Steve, Max, Omahdon, it's been some time since you submitted a cartoon here. Other than that, on with the review...

In terms of art and animation, while characters were decently drawn with some good shots, it felt rather generic. However, I like how you got Crossabre to help out since you aren't the best at those aspects. The setting is a nice change of pace from most of your stuff, but I think that you guys could use a bit of help in the diologue department as Sumova mentioned. As for the actual story, Even though it's the first episode; it could have been fleshed out a bit more. However, that's what interquels are for. Another thing that weakens this is the pacing, which felt too slow for something like this. You may want to remedy that as soon as possible if you do any more episodes. Then there is the sound; the music is good and Omahdon did a good job with the sound effects. On the other hand, the voice acting felt rather flat except for the screams. I know that D-Mac, Omahdon, and Tam Tu can do much better than what they did, but their voice deliveries were weakened by the diologue and the pacing issues that this cartoon has.

What I do like:
-Fresh setting
-Passable art quality
-Nice angle choices
-Good character designs so far
-Good sound effects and music

What I don't like:
-Uneven pacing
-Bad Diologue
-Sub-par voice acting
-Story could have been developed more, but that's what interquels are for.

Overall: As much as I'm for original and/or fresh content, the execution needs some work in order to become Top 50 material. Here's a seven out of ten from someone who liked Xin.

um......

first of all the quality was horrible i mean dude you can do better then that and the story was just wierd and one MORE thing i didnt really get what happand when yu huan(whatever) almost fell on the spike things i mean he took a bit of his robe and walked on that?WHAT?!
