You know what..
This is actually, in a funny way, incredibly realistic - it's such a stupid thing to do in real life and the odds of getting killed are obviously high. And so was the fact in the game.
The skill window is abit steep though, I'm thankful for the easy mode to get me started till I got my eye in and knew what distance I could make a jump. And then it was pretty smooth sailing.
Personally though, I find it a little unfair that it's possible to trip to death upon touching the very rear of the car. I know it's just simple game physics, but I sorta felt like it could have a small tinge more allowance on the rear end of the car, seeing as how I'm not really colliding into anything, but rather what's happening is the car is pulling my feet from under me? I have a suggestion in that respect though, so have a 'jiggle leg' button - which makes the legs move in a 'cartoon' running fashion for a split second and can 'save' the player near the very back end of the car. I dunno.. but it's an idea to think about.
Now that we have this basic little jumper, it's time to see what else you can build on top of it. Bus ducking next? Or a parkour roll over a longer vehicle? Or cars coming from both directions on a larger screen? Something extra to beef up the gameplay a little. I'm saying that because I for one actually found this easy. All it took was a little practice in easy mode - and I must admit a little help from my mouse to give me an 'average' distance before jumping for the highest chance of survival - and it became very repetitive.
I like the different death animations, but what would be cool is to have even more. With multiple death animations, you actually make the game more fun to even fail at. It's a neat trick to keep your gamers addicted without being frustrated too much.
Nice place to start, now let's see you beef it up a little.
