Classic NG horror game from my childhood!! Very happy to revisit it this October. It's definitely a lot shorter than I remember (but that's why G&H2 exists ;)), but the graphics and gameplay still hold up. The style is successful to the haunting gorey take to a Grimm classic, the animation's choice in puppeting adds to the disturbed Gretel, I love that the game encourages dying as achievements rather than as a punishment, and overall after 13 years the game still holds up well!! I truly hold this game close to my heart as an introduction to indie horror games.

This is one of the best pc games in newgrounds i really love the animation and puzzles that come along with it.Thank you for creating this game and made my childhood better xx
After playing this a while back, it's a game I truly cherish and is apart of the reasons why I loved games as a child. The artwork, music, and plot of the game is absolutely beautiful and eerie, which I loved.
