Enjoyable.
The animation is amazing, but the plot needed work. Seriously there is only hardened tar and melted tar and since he could already moved he seemed to already be melted. I wonder why heating him up would make it so he couldn't move/stopped him, not to mention why he never hardened in the first place.
Loved it. Bad had some flaws
The production value of this animation is just amazing, almost rivaling Bitey. I would say after watching the mockup of the final I found that Hana's version of the old man was much better even though out of place. The replacement seemed a bit off time. Also the conversation at the watercooler would have been nice to have made it to the final cut. In the fighting scene I believe Tar boy was tad bit too still. Otherwise I loved this and If i could make a wish with a Genie, I would wish for this to become a feature length production.

one of the most original cartoons i have ever seen
Tarboy is probably one of the most original concepts i have ever seen, in a world dominated by machines. A non mechanical being rises to avenge the death of millions, not hundreds, not thousands, MILLIONS.
He fights until he cannot fight anymore, is this end of him? perhaps not, because in this world of ruled by evil there is at least one other good person.
Tarboy only ever killed who he had to kill, the monsters behind the deaths of his parents, did innocents get in the way?
unlikely as his goals were very clear.
Original, dark, open ended, creativity i havent seen in years.
