Reviews for "Paws"

Very Good.

Very nice game! The art is of course fantastic, very Okami-inspired (you're probably tired of hearing that), and that alone is going to catch people's eye.

Gameplay was good-- could have been better. In Platformers, you almost always want to do what Super Mario Brothers introduced: Player-controlled jumps. It feels more natural if you jump higher the longer the button is pushed. Enemies felt a tad repetitive in spots. The combo system was great, even though a lot of them didn't make sense >.>

Sound was a mixed bag. Some of the music was okay, but I found the level music to be grating and annoying after a while. The sound effects were functional but amateurish.

Overall, this is a fantastic example of a user-created game. There's worse stuff than this on consoles :3

Feels nostalgic. As to why, I don't know.

Kept me busy for two hours, good job.

Problems I had with the game were the camera jutting around in crazy methods. When you're the boy-fox and you have to jump on the teensy platforms (right before the grey stairs) it's really difficult with the camera running around everywhere as you jump.

The combos were cool, but really, you only needed to know two or three. The Rebirth is best of course, followed by the Fire Spin one, that killed basically the enemy you're holding and any nearby. For the boss, the Lazer was just overwhelmingly powerful.

All in all, little things. Great game.

simple, yet gripping

I really like this game. Sure, it is VERY similar to Okami, but not in the rip-off kind of way. Minus 1 point for being incredibly short. Oh yeah... right right left is stone maker.

Pretty good.

Although the inspiration is evident, this was an innovative game. I liked it. The plot was quite interesting and the music fit the world perfectly. The battle style was something new--to me, anyway. Its good that each combo performs a special move; it brings some strategy into the fighting.

Also, gotta love the poetic way some of the characters speak.

The only downside was controlling the fox when... well, after he changes. Was a bit annoying. Guess it just took some getting used to.

I'm looking forward to the next episode.

Neat.

Pretty cool game, I can see it got its theme right off of Okami, and thats a good thing. Excellent graphics, terrific gameplay, and overrall a great adventure. Im impressed.
