Reviews for "Paws"

Gorgeous. But..

I keep hearing people say this is Okami inspired. I think "inspired" is an understatement. But either way, the game is very beautiful. I imagine those graphics and these levels must have taken a lot of hard work and dedication. Which is what all 7 of your rating goes too. Because other than that it couldn't keep my interest. The motion wasn't very fluid. The combat system was very fun at first, but eventually got repetitive. It's a really great idea that could have been a very incredible game. And I'm interested in what else you have to offer. Possibly even in this similar style.

Pretty decent and creative

It's obviously inspired in many ways by Okami, but as far as gameplay goes, it's very little like it, so the various "RIPOFF LOL"s by the couple of 13 year olds who think they're clever are unwarranted.

For the next installment, I suggest fine tuning the controls in the area of wall jumps; they seem a bit sticky. Also, I think a good idea would be to drop the proximity damage done by enemies and give them the ability to combo you.

Ok game

Didn't think this game was that great. The fighting system got old pretty quick for me. The game was too easy, only hard parts were when you got stuck on an enemy for a while and got hit over and over because you don't get that long of invulnerability after you get hit, or when you land on sea of spikes because you didn't realize you were supposed to go another way. Boss fight was too long. Didn't find the story too interesting and the total lack of ending was disappointing.

Artwork and music were ok, and I guess the goal was to make it dreamlike, but it was not that dreamy and more boring bland to me.

I prefered will and sly

Still, a very pretty game and worth playing through. look forward to a sequel.

control/animation could do with some work.. i kept ending up jumping backwards as i was reacting too quickly for the game.. also a way to drop down from the walls other than launching off them would be nice.

A more defined sense of where the ground/platforms are would be useful but would probably ruin the art style. I also found the jump too high for any single area in the game except the few areas where it was conveniently the exact right height. I'm being picky now... 7&4

Good concepts

THe movement of the wolf thing was very fluid, reminded me of Okami. but the fighting was a bit long winded. having to dash and then jump at EVERY enemy got old really quick and it was very easy to miss a dash and get hurt instead.
