i didn't know you couldn't do those smiley things. thanks for telling me before i did any thing. but one time i did y know one of those smiley things with the : and the p. I'm afraid i might get flagged.
oh and on the quiz it said i got 6 whistles but the image showed four so try and fix that

You can do smily faces but not ASCII images, the score of 6 is equal to 4 whistles in that quiz, it's not a bug.

What benefit do you get from a high whistle status

When you flag something, it carries more weight, as mentioned in the whistles part, the Garbage whistle for example carries no weight, this means if you flag a review or flash, it's unlikly to get noticed unless users with higher level whistles flag the same thing.
I don't have the details of how much weight each whistle carries but needless to say, the higher you are, the more likly the thing you flag will get noticed.
