Not the game for me
I couldn't even finish the tutorial. Jumping should be something basic, imo, not something you have to really worry about and spend so much time on. He also walked far too slow to keep me interested in the actual game.
Anyway. Just not the game for me. :)
An excellent game!
I have to say, this is a very unique and original game. I felt the visuals were well represented and clean. Balance is good, and the controls were very easy to pick up. I absolutely loved the choice in music. The retro-platformer tune quickly reminded me of my old Sega Gamegear =) All in all, a fantastic game. Although I would only make one suggestion. To improve the game ever further, that there be more types of magic to unlock, especially one that more effectively aids in blocking enemy fire. Their shots could also stand to be a bit more visible, as they were easy to miss. Maybe a black border around them? Enemy variety goes a long way too! Anyway, it was an excellent game and I feel like your hard work really paid off. Cudos! =)

good but....
THe game itself had an amazing concept and fresh idea behind it. i just hated.. i mean HATED the no jump system. i understand you were going for a new idea but you could of made it a little better. teh only way to get anywhere was to use the fire skill and if you went to fast when you tried to stop you would fly really far forward and not be able to control things. A few improvements. nothing you cant fix in a sequel :D
