Reviews for "Rayne's World: Level 1"

meh

As a game it wasn't all that great, but it did have quite a few parts that made me laugh.. like the use of the "Suck For a Buck" prostitute.

Pretty basic

Catchy music, simple controls ammusing theme. My problems were that it was pretty laggy at parts and near the end I happend to collect some "Coins" and land on some fatty at the same time and it chain spammed the sound effect of the landing on the fatty until I closed the window

Looking Fairly Good

I couldn't hear the sound (lousy audio card) so I can't say what impact that would have had. I give it a 7/10 on gameplay, looks, and enjoyment factor. It ran well enough on this outdated POS computer I have, but the graphics seemed somehow....basic? I'm hoping that improves with the final version. Very nice for the demo though, I played it a couple times through. I do hope the other levels will be a tad more difficult though, this level was pretty easy. Nice work overall though, looking forward to the full release!

Fun!!

Played for a while, and it was fun, and I got off. When I tried to get back on, it wouldn't let me press space. Before, I had to lower the quality, but now it just isn't working.... very sad, this was very fun!! Gave a 5/5 because it's Rayne and LICD. 7/10 because of game glitchy-ness though.

And THAT'S when I bought the horse a prostitute!

I didn't even know this was out! I saw no advertising on your site, and no link to the Rayne sprite video on youtube. There was no way for your fans to even know this was out!

Well- let me get down to it, Mr. Sohmer. You're a hero of mine.

Now, the biggest problem with the game is just how unprofessional the game looks. If it didn't have your name on it, I would have suspected that it was just a fan game. The controls seem a tad bit... sticky. I'm not quite sure how to describe it, but they're a tad bit sticky- if that makes any sense. I know the art was supposed to tribute to Mario, but it steered too far away from Lar's work. Rayne looks all right- but the other characters seem too different and from a completely unfamiliar world. The colors could use some saturation as well.

I can't really complain about the level design. It's not anything special, but it's not bad at all. And you will have fun playing it through.

The fact that the quality lowers itself when the screen moves is a tad bit awkward. If I need the graphics lowered, I will certainly lower the quality.

Well, Mr. Sohmers. It's not a bad game at all, but it really could have been better. It was a good idea too- and it had potential. It just needed a little... more.

Thank you, and keep up the good work.
