I don't see this as a complete story, but more of as a prologue to a series. It's almost like a teaser that we see on TV, to get us to watch the show, and to tell you the truth, I'm hooked already, and can't wait for the series premiere. I hope that is your intention.
The graphics were top notch, the music was fitting to what was going on, and I honestly didn't find it scratchy, as I know some others did.
It took awhile to load, but that was all on my end. (Stupid connection speed).
I look forward to hopefully many more of these in the future.
Only complaint...I was really wanting to see the Cavern make at least a cameo appearance somewhere in there. Damn it!

but, Roland.. it -was- in there! *S* in the graveyard scene, to the far right, its there for a moment. also, the funeral was in the Cavern. I know. you can't tell. The Cavern will have a bigger role in the series.

Very nice
You used a nice blend of animation and imported images. The combination didn't look awkward at all, as it does in other animations. The storyline is incredibly overdone, though. And if you do make a series, i'm guessing the story and action will be a bit cliche. You might prove me wrong on that, but either way i'm sure it will be visually excellent. Good job.
