Reviews for "A Canvas And A Struggle"

Well Executed

Like the other reviewers, I too immediately thought of the flash animation "self portrait" which they linked you too.

I don't think originality has anything to do with judging a piece like this. It seems you already dealt with the issue of "originality" in your animation with reference to piero manzoni's "artist's shit". It sure was original. But good art? nah I don't think so.

Shooting your brains onto a canvas? Probably would sell for the 30,000 the "artist's shit" would sell for. Good art...not so much. This piece really made me think.

"self portrait" on the other hand was more along the lines of getting a reaction, which is valid but not nearly as emotive as you're piece.

It's interesting how to animations can cover the exact same material and be so different.

Well drawn with minimal animating, which is fine due to extremely short time you had to produce it. I hope it gets front page, and doesn't get a lot of hate for being executed so similarly to "self portrait"

Strange..

It's very eerie, kind of like a nightmare. I love your style, though, keep it up. Whether this is meant as a satire of modern art or not, it definitely speaks that message..

"...Exactly what is art?"

Pretty good, but

its doesn't belong in the serious shorts collection--it made me laugh my ass off.

Pretty
