Reviews for "Artifission RPG chp0"

hmmm

are you supposed` to die at the stage when u kill the big robot ive beeen trying loada times if ur supposed to win aginst it then i suck

Fickludd responds:

Well no, you're supposed to die :D. You'll meet it again later though...

Nice start

I dont know about you guys but im pretty sure RPG doesnt stand for Final Fantasty. There's so many 2d RPG's out there that look like final fantasty... battling system and all, that doesnt mean that there ripoffs of any part of the FF series. So thumbs up for the idiots out there accusing the creator.

Besides all that from the other reviews i think im the only person to notice the leveling system. I got lost in the beginning because i couldnt tell the different between invisible walls and the next area... so i had plenty of time to waltz around.

The leveling system is very hard to detect, but if you go through enough random battles... you will gain strength. Like everyone else i would like to see an inventory as well as a way to heal out of battle and a menu.

For me could you be a pal and just toss in a map when you get a chance! ^-^

thanks! <3

Fickludd responds:

The "leveling" system will be explained in the next chapter.
As said: inventory/menu also in next chapter.
Yeah i'll fix the invisible wall issue.

Thanks for support and review!

FF7 Anyone?

This=Final Fantasy 7 rip off. Random encounters is just painful. The only good thing I can think of is at least it isn't timed like Final Fantasy 7.

I could go into far more depth, but whats the point? After all, there is none.

Fickludd responds:

It's partly inspired by FF7 of course, but would you say Doom was a Unreal Tournament ripoff?

i liked it

it was preety fun. could use a healing outside battles. cant wait till the rest comes out

Fickludd responds:

Cool

Good start, but needs work

First of all, nice work so far. The basic style is good enough, and to all those who say it is or is not based off Final Fantasy, the battle system, as well as the music, is indeed very reminescent of final fantasy games. On the other hand, that same battle system is prevalent in nearly every RPG I've ever played.

Onto the game itself:
The graphics really need work, it might be painful to look at them if I hadn't attuned myself to bad flash(sorry to all the bad flash artists!).
The battle system is the bedrock of a tried and true system, but needs fleshing out. I know it's a prologue, but one attack and no skill developement? Also, like some before me said, you should make it so some healing, either in the form of items or skills, is possible out of battle.
One more thing to change is the name of skill points. Mana is usually used to refer to magic potential or life energy, and a game that seems to be based in more or less present times seems unlikely that much magic will be encountered, so maybe change it to AP(ability points) or something. I didn't get up to the boss(can't find the darned ambassador, grrr) but the battles are horribly repetative, and get very boring after the second or so, when you discover you have to guard against rockets. The music doesn't help.

Over0all it's really a bedrock thing. Keep working on it, and it could definately develope into something amazing.
Good luck!

Fickludd responds:

Thanks for the review!

There is indeed not a lot of gameplay in the prologue, so it should be looked apon more as a playable intro video.
The other things you mention will be fixed before the next chapter.
About Mp I just think it's a convenient standard... don't think I'll change that..
