Great work, but even more room for improvement.
Some of this was incredible. For example, the backgrounds. They were very well chosen, seemed to fit together, and, most importantly, set the tone of the story. The lush enviornment which suddenly became an abandonned corpse of a house was really a nice touch.
However, the progression through the game itself didn't seem to show the same thought that the feelings behind it did. 'Click the right coffee cup?' Just doesn't make me shudder in terror. The threat doesn't feel quite real enough. Perhaps if each time you fail, you take on some kind of damage which hurts your ability to function in the rest - blurring your vision or obscuring it partly, making you unable to reach certain areas. Some unnecissary items and places might also create a feeling of more confusion, which helps fear.
Altogether, though, I'm extremely impressed. I admire your skills and creativity. You also had some pretty good voice acting, despite the fact that you voiced both characters. (It was noticable, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the game. The telling you what to do - 'pick up the newspaper, are those journal pages' stuff was kind of annoying, though. Either let me play or make a movie.)
